As far as I know there is no plans for EPA to force outboards to use catalytic converters..(for now).
Well..the election can change that if we get "Hiden"

Wow..finally I have great pictures of one of the most brutal tunnel boats ever. Renato Molinari in his 2 X F1-V8 powered Molinari he raced in the unlimited hydroplane class.
The race was run at Clear Lake outside Houston, Texas 1983.
Thanks to Fabio Porta.
More pictures is coming tomorrow (Friday)

It takes big balls to race this little tunnel boat wide open..no safety..only thin fiberglass around the driver. Over 175 MPH top speed.
1983 must have been a very busy racing season for Renato.

More testing at Renato's headquarter at Lago di Como before the boat was shipped to Texas.

I dont know..but he could have done i kilo record back home at Lago di Como if that was what he wanted to do.
One more picture testing in Italy before the boat was shipped to Texas.

Falcon 22, is this boat a 22 footer?
Why are the engine cowlings different?

Well.. I don’t know the length of the boat.
Renato made his own engine cover, mid section and gear case housing in titanium. Even gears for the gear case.
