...nothing about you personally at all big dave. i was just using your posts above, as an example of something weird thats going on. its a question of how this site counts...on "everyone's" posts...the number of "likes", "post counts", "thanks", etc., are not accurate AT ALL. they vary all over the place, from one count number to another over time. sometimes going up, sometimes going down, sometimes they are "frozen" in place, etc. simply noting they are not to be deemed dependably accurate...

Oh my I forgot about those Sears outboards, that was childhood.

That whaler Mamimiset was designed as a "school bus" to ferry the kids to school that lived on the islands near the factory. Bow against the dock and the doors opened, the kids just stepped out on the dock . The one I worked on had small kid sized benches under the bow on either side. Cool boat, great company.

‘Seahawk’ boats were mentioned earlier in this thread. There is currently a documentary on Netflix about Sal MaglUtah and Willie Falcon called ‘Cocaine Cowboys’. It has some pretty good vintage 80s boat racing footage. I’ll be interested to see if anyone on S&F knew the guys back in the day.
