Thread started by Mark, orig "Gorden Lightfoot" Damn sure aint ending it, but one my fav's! Dude was a great , "folk singer!"..(EDIT!..DAMN, just watched again the beginning intro, bottom says..something like "Always on my mind, in 69?"..HA! I was 19 in Veitnam then! (No complaints, as "grew up FAST!" And avoided written in some "black marble wall", but have friends there..:reddevil: And some day I'll see the real "wall",, but seen the "smaller moving Wall", and I can't look at it...RIP old met friends, but the
war", is hard to forget BS. Guess ya had to live it a young kid...many Vets simple have to "handle it for life", but still trudge on..(giving up is NOT an option! Rock on life all! ;)

Something hit my brain tonite, 1969! 3 of the best.."events ever", I was in Veitnam, but I could see, the moon, 1/2 a world away from the USA, when "we landed on the moon". Second was me..(as my "young kid Brothers in Nam".."learning life the real fast way". Last? WHAT ELSE? "Missed Woodstock"! RIP Alvin Lee, as I didn't go home by "helicopter"..(that was everywhere there, if not the guntruck I was on), but that "Freedom bird.."big old Jetliner"! Hard to explain the 60's/70's, as if not there..(ya missed some good times, and the "muscle car era!)

Heres some "relic's" I remember doing "homework at the dining room table", transistor radio on, at 14, 1964. Heard this? Then the "new boys", did this a YEAR later? Like yesterday to me!
