Hurricane deck boat with a force, wonder which one died first?
Not your standard showroom R model.
Largest displacement ever made.
The stock versions look good, except the cartoon mufflers.
Quirky look for sure.
I never knew BMW Cycles cared anything at all about racing. I like it.

FUJIMO, If you ever run low on these fabulous photos, please give me several days notice so I can pick which bridge I want to jump off of. Keep 'em coming!
...LOL...thanks, but we got plenty, gotta keep 'merica sane with humor...so's we don't get too serious...;)
Why all the laborious work and extra expenditures?
Is it because the 1500 engines were more available and reliable, then the older 800 engines?
And also did he desire, that old white cowling look to enhance his vintage rig?
I admire his dedication and final craftsmanship, but what a comment to undertake.
Yes …...too the last pix...….any boat powered by 2 motors is sweet...…..
Besides having available parts i`m sure the dude just wanted to go faster than the 800`s would go. I don`t blame him.

its a shame to chrome out your engine and then just cover it up...somebody's gotta make a clear canopy....
Without looking it up, I would think the BMW boxer is the longest running family of motorcycle engines in history.
We all have heard of them, but in 55+ years of spinning wrenches this is the first "black box" I've seen.

Yup Chaz, the barrel roll on throttle roll is different. I own a '99 K1200RS, once you're moving a couple mph it's not noticeable. I tore down a 2005 Mojo Guzzler a while back, the block still had a distributor pad cast in. Wonder how long those patterns been around....Disassembling totalled bikes of any & all kinds, it never ceases to surprise me the stuff the oem's hold on to. The new tech is always cool to see & learn from, too. The BEST part is no diagnosing, no pissy customers - just tear it down, toss it in a bin & walk away!!
Bogie and Bacall
