It’s now an annual award at the CTC.
Rob and Chrissy Lockyer were disappointed when they found out the “MILES JENNINGS TROPHY” had to be handed back !!!!!!
So they asked me to make a replica !!!!!!!
As luck would have it i remembered when MJ originally asked me to make him a trophy i did my usual trick of making two [just in case something went wrong] so i still had a dead ringer !!!!!!!
Mount never really made the cut so i binned that and made a heavyweight stand, —- base is a 5lbs chunk of high-pol aluminium—— on top of that is 3lb turned and polished brass billet . Just does look “THE BIZ”.. NO PROGRESS PICCIES AS THIS IS A COMMISSION !!!!!
Will have to ask the owners permission if i need to show it.

Dont doubt for a minute some dude is going to ask me to do Miles Jennings SILVERLINE tunnel but they will have to wait until after Christmas as i am on 7hour days and 7 days a week . Yes that’s about all i can manage these days— just bought another bandsaw with a tilting table——- that should make life a tad easier .
Do have a bunch of concepts ready for key west first week in november —- but a lot of them do require the finishing touch.
All you guys who have any of my concepts can take heart from the fact that the last two concepts have both been auctioned off for way over £2,000. Apiece . My son Mark and Stevie Curtis played together as kids in the 60’s.
Stevie is now on the sticks in one of the HUSKI class 1 cats managed by my grandkids [Gary and Lou Stray] . Talked with his mother ANNE at last Sunday's Cowes /Torquay.
Guess the kids did not shine today at St. Pete’s —-reason i suspect this, is the fact there was nothing on facebook., if anything exciting had happened the result would have been all over the bible !!!!!!!
We dont have any such thing as LABOUR DAY this side of the pond !!!! Was not able to switch on to the P1 site to see and hear whats going on at st Pete’s on Sunday —————-now it all becomes clear —racing will be today.
Summer finally arrived in England!!!!!!! Mind you, we did have to wait until September . Was the hottest day of the year so far —over 90 in most places.
Funny thing happened today in the workshop. Felt a bit weird in the tummy region , belly button felt different. There was a large lump popping out so i pushed it back in and phoned the surgery. What do you know , got a 3-00 pm appointment!!!!!!!1. Turns out its a HERNIA. TOLD HIM I DID NOT HAVE THE TIME FOR ONE OF THOSE DAMN THINGS.
Also have a scan booked for the belly button as well as the think station —- guess all the bits are either falling off or protesting my way of life.

Sorry ‘bout that —been a tad poorly and confined to hospital for a few days.Was all a bit of a rush before being confined to barracks for a while and then told its my age doncha know !!!!!! First of a few visits to the medical institution [as opposed to the mental institution.] methinks. Lets see what tomorrow brings !!!!!!!
Well, I’ve had better weeks in my life !!!!!!! Really went through the wringer on tuesday, and Wednesday wasn’t any better either. If this keeps on , I’m going to have to get off this damn helter -skelter for a while and take a Sabbatical!!!!!! I just cannot keep pace with my expectations or ambition. I can remember the time i was happy —-and thats a while back now .

Finally just about finished the MILES JENNINGS REPLICA —— did the gear cases but again I’m not happy with them ,so i will do them again in brass [just like the originals] .
