A ski race machine in the land of Oz.
Notice both gear cases are LH.
I think I’ve seen a video of running but not in yrs.
These guys are still building/running some off the hook race OB rigs.

Yes, it was a mean brutal very fast beast, but things did not go Renato's way in Milan, 1979.
Well..a few month later in Bristol, 1980 Renato got his great win with a single Evinrude CCC 3 liter, looper...!!
Yes, I was there.
No Gold at Mercury’s Final Rally.. Evinrude/Molinari wins in Bristol 1980
"Renato Molinari lay second behind Billy Seebold until the final lap when a burnt piston stopped Seebold dead in his tracks opening the door for an Italian victory".

OK....I'll ask,
Where is the Molinari Monster now? Was it broken up, burned, trashed, sold, lent or just plain disappeared? No I don't think it came to the US as the V-8 powered winged wonder that tried unlimited racing in Clear Lake Tx. I believe that was a different boat....which, of course means....where is IT?????? Somebody knows something.
Interesting thought...but Renato's Molinari had (2) 3.0L V6's and I think the Wizard was (2) 2.4L powerheads. The only time I got to see Merc 2.4's against OMC 3.0L's in Valleyfield 1979 (Ken Stevenson & Fred Hauenstein) it was no contest. If I remember the 3.0L's had faster lap times than the Grand Prix inboards
Hi and thanks for checking in here..
First..the 1979 Molinari Monster raced by Renato in Milan is not the same boat he used for the Unlimited racing in Clear Lake, Texas 1983. I have pictures of that boat now in Italy with a single Evinrude V8.
The 1979 Molinari Monster was up for sale on a European auction 6 years ago. It was an empty boat not in very good shape. Not sure if it sold or not.
Here is one more not so good picture of the "Monster" in Milan 1979.
PS:
Well..not sure why..but I cant post any pictures..I post more Molinari Monster pictures from Milan, 1979 later..
I cant post any pictures right now but here is a link to my blog with pictures and info regarding the Unlimited race in Clear Lake, Texas.
Renato drove a Molinari with two F1-V8 engines and Jimbo a bigger boat with four F1-V8 engines.
I also include a video here..

That is an awesome clip. Maybe somewhere there is a HQ version that could be found.
