Damn, oldies on, shop..getting back to normal..(more on that a bit).., after 3/4 days no power, here western WA, but never change back too city living, for rural waterfront! I'm prepared for anything here anyway. We do have under ground phone lines, so even if trees take out the power, I can run the generator, do the stupid puter, dial up, for some entertainment. AND, I said screw the money, high speed net. Going back to dial up. Retired, and got time, WHILE I DO SOMETHING REAL HERE! Hate to say it, but "spend too much time, keyboarding, and if slow, ya let go!". Life is NOT a IPhone, a puter, a "big screen", its right outside the damn window/door, the dogpatch!" Take the doggy for a walk.....more fun.

Today was working my old 18 years now, 5000 watt Gen, (gotta keep the beer and food cold, fridge!)..changed oil, new Stabiled gas. Needed a "tune up", as when I NEED IT? Well its like yer windshield wiper blades..(we get little rain here summer, winter a diff story), and they work fine, NOT needed, but ...heck, I don't need to go on here!

Ya gotta be a good "boy Scout".."always prepared". Anyway, I heard on the oldies, Marianne Faithfull, .."Angel of the morning", but can't find it on youtube. So this will have to do, done 1965, (I was 15!).......(wait, still think I'm 15 too!)

Heres one more.(Damn, I'm LIKING, the oldies, random..allday, and weekends?, Da.."Blues", on "NPR", 6 hours, 6pm to midnight, Sat and Sun. And 30 seconds a HOUR, commercial!..great old Blues freak, the DJ.

Have to say, on her, she should have done it alone, no band, just that voice, and piano. I caught her on the "Today", show, last year or so, "surfing", and did a solo, just piano, and her. Her talent, has go better with age! Heres one the comments, vid to follow..

She has a very potent dramaticism in her voice that really gives special meaning to her songs. As she got older, her voice darkened but that added (in my view) a sense of edge/passion that her soft/tender songs of the 70s got complimented by. The piano playing is exquisite/captivating. A real sense of somber reflection is evident as the song draws to a close. Perfect!"
