We hung out in the/our famous "bar", with more or less, still, "the Mob", and I grew up with those.."Italian kids"..running all just about every thing.
We use to do .."BUS LOADS", barrels beer on the bus, ..(from the western suburbs) to the Sox/Cubs/Blackhawks/Bears games in Chitown. Freaking .."well catered".."Road Trips". Did one time a "road trip" to see Jethro Tull, playing I think .."Chicago Amphitheater"..(Saw Black Sabbath there too, opener Wishbone Ash! DAMN!)
"Thick as a Brick" was a new release him, and as us knowing people, had damn near front row seats. (Gotta love Chitown.."who ya know, as it works..we knew the old Mayor Daley, go down the the "Sox" ballgame, saved spot (on his block, as lived close).. (and F$&K you Blago, 14 years in the slammer?..ya pushed it a little too hard, azzhole, had it made, but wanted more?..ya got it!)
ANYWAY, back to "Tell". DAMN! The first song was, "Thick as a Brick". Well, it lasted solid, one hour and 18 minutes. "ENERGY FIRED UP"..(You try playing Flute, standing on one leg, for a hour~!?)
So we are basic a WORN OUT ROCKING CROWD..thinking that might be all? BS!. Comes back on stage, and says.."now for my second song", and rolls into.."Locomotive Breath". Concert was a total him, 2 1/2 HOURS! Damn, that dedicated ENERGY, us out there. (Also we saw Elton John there too. 3 hours him..mesmerized us him live!)
