The Marathon ain't too shabby either Lassie ---------I wouldn't mind one final trip from Stuart florida to Needles or Havasu---------clear across the USA--------- only next time, I'd stop and smell the roses once in a while .

I suppose in 2017 Lassies RV is top of the line------cream of the crop camper van.
Well let me tell you, in 1975 the GMC 6 wheeler was king of the heap. I was fortunate enough to own two of them in my life.
First one belonged to an old friend of mine, Barry SHEENE -------I gave the princely sum of £7,500 for the beast, had more fun with that van than anything else I ever owned.
The blue one I came across twenty years later---------I paid exactly the same price for it, but it did have a 427 Hemi with headers and had a top end way over 100 mph.
So, back in the day, I reckon "Been there, Done that------and had the T shirt!
We have the tail end of hurricane Brian coming through this morning -------heav6 showers which will no doubt quell the desire for rushing off. To the car boot sale -------have to go, my rides here.
Sunday afternoon and it's still blowing a hooley----- leaves falling like confetti------won't be long before the clocks get turned back, then it will feel like falls done and winters in the wings.
Just been told by Madame Socrates ( her who knows all things ) the clocks go back a week today.
Not even turning the key in the workshop door today------gale force wind comes in through the gap under the door. Not ready to turn on the heater just yet-------but neither do I want to freeze my nuts off doing concept boats.

Blimey Jackie I knew you were a fast 'un.. but your a day in front of us already!!!
It's been a funny old day, in fact it's been a funny old weekend---------the mighty Manchester United with a Billion dollar budget get beaten by Huddersfield, a bunch of coal miners, newly promoted to the premier league.
Another newly promoted team Brighton go to West Ham, thrash the arse of them-------on paper, that cannot happen------but it did.
Now this is where my nasty little mind begins to roam freely-------premier league footballers are all on a wage of half a million a month to twelve million a year--------you could have got odds of 50---1 on the results of those two games.
Cant help wondering if the far eastern gambling syndicates haven't got something to do with today's soccer results ?
Ive suspected for a while now that gambling is rife in F1 car racing----------what's the odds on the next three GP 's ?
Third weekend in a row--and another 'six inches'. Time for warmer climes??

just looking at that piccy gives me the eebie jeebies Gene----- me and the "White Stuff" just don't get along, I could happily join the squirrels and polar bears in hibernation-------or fly with the swallows to warmer climes.
Im kinda "in limbo"at the minute------another way of saying I'm sat on my backside while I make up my mind!
Stayed indoors----marmalized the Sunday general knowledge crossword--------waded through all the comics------- thought about opening the shop, then thought again and decided not to !
Son in law Steve is sixty tomorrow, so there's a surprise party at the titch ( THE SIR ROGER TICHBOURNE )

There in the car park of the SIR ROGER TITCHBOURNE were three replica "SILVER ARROWS"
if these had been the real McCoy you would be looking at a hundred million--------they were very good though-------one was a V 12 Jaguar-------the others were 4:2 straight six lumps, again, Jaguars.
The Wilson/Cheeseman/Morris families gathered together for Stephens 60 th birthday celebration .
Having problems remembering the names of all the great grandkids------was ok with the first dozen, but after that I'm struggling.
Bob V where are you when I need you ?
and the driver is handicapped as well?
