My dad had a '69 650 four. That was one smooth running engine. To me, the '69 Mercs were the sharpest looking.

We had a 66, all chrome and silver was a great running motor, I agree on the colors of the 69. Restored a 9.8 - 110 for a Buddy few years ago he get alot of complements on it.Quote:

Had a 13 Ally raced with Merc 700. Touched motor, went to a Merc 500 and made twin seat playboat. Damn, ran a solid 50 mph in good water. Great little motor! Wish I still had it!
