Tricks that old racers get up to after retirement

Islamorada, Sunday afternoon.
Forgive me for sticking my chest out------throwing my fist in the air and yelling yes !
Craig only went and won seven out of the last eight P1 races.(just a second in the other), he thinks he's got the title by one point ( that's strictly unofficial).
Went down to the last race------it helped a lot that it blew up rougher than a witches tit and the kids a natural in the rough.
Had to change the gearcase ------rumour went round they had altered the ratio and the protests went in.? Will get back to you.

Islamorada 18:00hrs, it went down to the wire------- equal points , still no verdict on who's won the title-----told Mark to send me a video and piccies-------and the FECKIN RESULT ! I'm off to bed.

Monday morning------
Thats one of the things about boat racing-----everybody puts you in promise land-----"OK dad, you get off to bed and I'll email you the results, and some pictures, maybe a vid or three".
Didn't bloody happen did it------so I get up at crack-o-sparrer, expecting to have the P1 results from Islamorada, and a rake of phoggies, ------NOTHING-------scan through Facetime, all it says is "podium"-------------- what's this for sh-t ? as Werner used to say.
Can only come to the conclusion that the results were manipulated after the fact, and Craig missed out yet again on the P1 title. Now that's all conjecture so I'd better stop that.
Would still have been nice to have known, one way or another!
If anyone out there KNOWS the final results, would love an update.

Searching through the net-----I found it------Craig did not get the title. Apparently Frank and Alls Pizza have done more races!!!!!!
Whatever happened to the time honoured countback system in the event of a tie----guy with the most wins --------like 7 V 2.

Not like you to print arse about face piccies Fuji ------you having a bad day?

Spent a couple of hours in the shop-yesterday, ------tidying-----cleaning and just generally feeling the place out.
Will try and be a bit more constructive today, without rushing about trying to set the world on fire.
May just see if I can put some finishing touches to the couple of Mystics I started months ago, might have to ask J/S if he'd like a crack at finishing them!
There's something very tactile about a carved wooden boat with some aluminium chucked in for good measure. Will enjoy getting back in the saddle and making myself useful again, Kitchen goddess will be quite relieved to get me out from under her feet.

Three hours this morning--------another two this afternoon in the shop.
Swellings down by ninety per cent-------no strength at all in the hand /wrist, but it's working (just).
Been sat on this idea for a while------should have something tangible by the end of this week.
Slow start, but gaining momentum. Watch this space.

Haven't heard a word from Mark or Craig since Sunday-----would appear the final result was dead heat on points @ 299 apiece .
Craig put in a great effort to win 7 out of the last 8 races-----but due to the count back system he lost out to Frank and Al.
He lost out last year by the odd point I believe-------Somedays you eat bear! ------afraid that's boat racing.
Got an appointment at the hospital at 11 am today------hope they nail the "Paw" once and for all, been a most miserable time.

Had a CTC scan-----X rays-------ultra sounds------bloods-----in fact just about every test known to man and beast.
Gave em arms full of blood-n-stuff over a period of five hours. Walked a full 25 miles up and down the corridors of Chichester's St Richards hospital. Saw kids younger than my grandkids posing as full blown doctors.
Only thing that's gone downhill are the neck arteries, they got kinda firred up a tad more.
I thought they might have nailed the "Poorlie Paw" at the same time but I'm booked in tomorrow for that. Trey must have thought five hours in one day was enough for anyone.
Oh yes-----I had to take out another mortgage to pay for the five hours car parking charge !
By my reckoning Chichester hospital rakes in £4,000'000.a monthinfees.
