More from Dalalven, Sweden 1973. Here is also my #99 SE Clerici/Evinrude 65 SS. It was a world record weekend very late that year. I did break the 1 and 2 hour UIM world record in the SE class.

Here you can see better the OE/F3 engine with real strait-in front. The red arrow show the welded in box in the standard lower aluminum cowling to make room for the bottom carburetor. Picture #4.

I also think the M-80 Offshore cat is a Cougar. Its under Norweigen flag and if I remember right Cougar, England did also build them.

I remember selling 2 X Evinrude V8 4 liter for a new Cougar 27 1988 for Scandinavia.
"The Thundercan"..was designed and build exclusively for Bjorn Borg in the mid eighties. One off and most molds was destroyed after the boat was ready. The boat was not a success and not fast enough.. but could be worth money today if you find it.

Also Just For You Lars...What "Race" was this? Lake Mead maybe? https://scontent-mia3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...35&oe=5AEEE1D7
Thank you FUJIMO,
Yes it's my picture and we first went to Billy Seebold for the St. Louis P.R.O.P race with our motorhome. Next stop was Basalt, CO to see Scott Gillman. We spent some time there and drove to Lake Mead/LasVegas for the P.R.O.P race.
Parked in the sandy pit at Lake Mead with our American Eagle motorhome. I helped Troy Wood do work on Scott Gillmans boat. Dont really remember but I think Scott noise dived pretty bad at practice but Troy and I got the boat ready in time for the race. Maybe this was the year after..??
We did go to the Las Vegas race a few years and lots of fun with GG and others.
A picture of our motorhome outside Seebold racing 1996 and Carina went for a spinn with Mr. Bill..

We have also visited the Seebold family on the west coast of Florida a few times.
First a stop at Mr. Bills race shop outside Naples..
Mike just installed the new outboard for the Parker 25CC
The Seebold family is not using the outboard you think..
I do not understand why the Mercury factory do not supply Mr. Bill with a few free Mercury outboard..
Wake up Rick Mackie..supply Mr. Bill with outboards for life..!!..
Well.. after helped out BRP as an Evinrude Ambassador I maybe understand..
Today's outboard factories are not the way they use be..:)
PS The last picture is my wife Carina next to the best selling outboard in the world.

Well STEVERINO I need your help with that. I know Jimbo was racing the ON class in Paris 1976 (no OZ class 1976 in Paris) with this boat but do not know what type of V6 2 liter powerhead he was using.
I guess it was working very good for 5 hours..!!..:)
http://www.screamandfly.com/attachme...3&d=1515616640
Hi Lars the week before the 1976 Paris 6 hr race my job was to test a 2.0litre crossflow engine for the ON class which looked identical to the 2.5 OZ class crossflow engine just a smaller capacity i was told they only made one of them all the other engines for this race were loopers nobody seemed to have a interest in this engine or the correct props for me to try on it so we never got to know how good it really was and i think by this time they had made a decision to use the larger OZ class engine for the following year so all the engines for that Paris 6hr race were all 2.0 loopers.
Was the same case used for the 2.0 and the 2.4?
Which raced first?
You cant win with 3 year old engine Rotary John,
I think it's a pretty easy answer..
1973 it was a purpose built 2 liter cross-flow V6 with three carbs
1976 the 2.448 liter V6 race engine with 6 carbs on a X intake was based on a production block.
OMC just made a 2 liter version of the 2.448 liter cross-flow to race in the 2 liter class in Paris 1976.
That makes sense but we all would love to see a close up of that original 2.0
Well..you have to wait powerabout..but my friend in Florida have an original 2 liter cross-flow V6 in his garage..!!:)
Lars, What's it doing in his garage?!?!??? LOL I would put it to good use! Otherwise I'm going to have to run a Mercury on this:

BTW: If anyone knows anything about this boat please contact me. Would also like Paul Heathman's contact info so we can talk
HeeHee Roger H..:)
I know you love boat racing history and the fact is OMC won the very first big V6 meeting in Paris 6 hours 1973..
The headline after Paris 1973 was brutal for Team Mercury....Mercury Annihilated...!!
Johnson/Evinrude first, second, third and fourth..!!
I was at the Paris race 1973.
We must find a way for you to get the first winning V6 for your beautiful #12 Miller boat..Maybe its possible to install the OMC V6 2 liter cross-flow one day on your #12 boat.

Cees Van der Velden and his Velden Racing/Johnson V6 RS 3 liter, looper fuel injection.
Pretty sure its Ziggy from OMC fueling up his OZ class boat. Maybe Mouse to the far left helping.
Yes, I was there.
http://www.screamandfly.com/attachme...4&d=1515718671
huge tank
Why was it common to put fuel above the floor and not in sponsons or was that viewed as too hard until they had composite hulls?
This was the weekend in Bristol when Mercury introduced the T4. I don't remember if Johnny Sanders where there or not..The big thing I remember was Jack Leek asked me to get close to Seebold's boat/engine and find out as much info as possible.
Everything was so secret around Mr. Bill's T4 but I told Jack it was 6 small clear hoses from the fuel injection..Remember Jack's response..
Good.. then its a V6 not a V8.
