mercury I first saw the 1000BP engines run at the 1967 Paris 6HR race my old friend Billy Shakespeare finished 3rd overall with that engine on one of his own V hulls but won his own class OI --- 89CU INCH and the index of performance he was well impressed with 7000RPM at that time and how much faster it ran compared with the old 100HP.Back in the old days that engine on that 18ft Molinari would have been a bit of a mismatch.
