I think Jackie you have a good selling pitch.
You are a racing alumni of the F1 racing fraternity, which gives your models extra credibility.
Artwork done by an actual participant, who raced at Bristol among other places, and raced against the potential buyers favorite driver(s) and teams.

Just a few of the concepts i will taking to the Bristol reunion this month. Thought a few of the old farts might shell out a few shillings and purchase one of these timeless pieces … most of them though are tighter than the proverbial ducks arse —so i will probably wind up bringing most of them back home again .
WHY AM I SO FECKIN SCEPTICAL——BECAUSE I KNOW „“EM, ALL OF THEM.!!!!!![/QUOTE]
Just five days to go before the BRISTOL REUNION.
SEEBOLD flies in early Friday morning to Heathrow—Sam Clive and i pick him up and trundle on down to Bristol. Hotel did have the common sense to change the double bed to a pair of singles . You know what the boating fraternity is like. [you only have to hug and walk arm in arm with a man before you are tagged as QUEER—GAY—BENT—CARPET MUNCHER—SHIRT LIFTER] so i am not taking any chances !!!!!!!!
Although anyone who knows me, also knows i am REMINGTON GUN BARREL STRAIGHT!!!
I have nothing against the folk of the other persuasion—AC/DC — batting for the other side —- call it what you will, i just have a deep sorrow for the poor buggers who will never know one of the greatest pleasures in life is a great „“OPPOSITE“ ——even i hardly know how to call it any more.
SOOOO— i just want to set the record straight, due to the fact all rooms at THE HOTEL BRISTOL are sold out, Billy and i are sharing a room. Anyone saying—thinking—mentioning anything different is very likely in danger of having their lights punched out.
Last day of the jubilee celebrations —weather doesn’t look too promising—- all been a huge success so far . General census here is you colonials are welcome to keep Meghan and Harry —-they chose the bed — now they have to lie in it.
Colour is not and never has been a problem——the problem is people.
If color wasn't a problem, you wouldn't have brought it up.
Now who;s stirring the pot ???????Not to me as you well know Johnno —— when we have a disagreement— its not because of colour . Afraid i tell anybody their fortune , when i dont agree, Black—white—yellow pink or green —- one thing i am not is PC —- get off the pot and piss off.
...hey...black's the only color...right j.w.?...;)...
THATS CALLED A „“CURATES EGG“ FUJI !!!!!!!!!!! In the nether regions of Schenectady they call it stalemate —— downtown OSHBERG ——it’s known as „“checkmate“—-in the tennis club at Southwater West Sussex- its commonly known as game - set and match!!!!!!
You don’t get many of those for a dollar !!!!!!
Two comedians Ricky and Dave give their take on the guys walking over to the other side.
Dialogue in comedic language revealing the comedy of current situations.

Jackie you were probably one of the first (if not the first) native English speaking person, to have had business dealings with the Molinari family.
What did you see or know, that brought you driving down to Como Italy and go knocking on the Molinari's doorstep?
Being my late Dad is not here, I can only speculate. And my speculation is Dad, Johnny Bakos, Odell, & Bill Sirois saw their first sight of a Molinari hull at the Paris 6 Hour. Which those USA Mercury guys competed at in the mid 1960s.
~~~~~
Here is a Mercury Team (including other Lake X drivers Steinbeck & Ramsay) group photo of them, on one of the European visits.
right to left—SIROIS—Bakos—-?—?-Ridgell——Steele—-Vickers——Pruett—- afraid i dont remember the others . Was in the late 60‘s before we Europeans got into the fight on the banks of the Seine [more of a confrontation]. That was just before we all became great friends.—
Paris was just about the only race that would attract that particular group of people —cannot think of any other reason they would be in Europe unless it was a dealer conference [then no way would Billy Don be there].
Had seen Rasini and Molinari at various venues—- Paris -Amsterdam—etc. was impressed ! Don Ross and i agreed it was the way to go .
Rumour had it amongst boat racers was that Molinari would not sell a boat to the English . Armed with an “ITALIAN/ENGLISH“ dictionary and a notepad i proceeded to telephone the Molinari factory and asked to speak to Angelo—— was told he wasn’t there , but Renato would speak with me.
After the mandatory introductions i asked him outright if he would sell me a boat as i heard on the grapevine he wouldnt. He got all huffy and told me he would build a boat for me with the greatest pleasure .
So i asked him outright „“QUANTA COSTA“. ???? He told me one thousand English pounds !!!!!!!
Thats the exact sum he charged me on the day Mark and i picked the boat up.
We were invited to dine at the lunch table—- Renato cooked the pasta —— his mum —dad and brother Giorgio were there —- think the year was 1967, but my memories shot so dont take that as gospel.
There were embargo’s all over europe at that time —- eagle eyed customs at every border and travel carnets and documents which were a right royal pain in the arse .
Story of how we acquired the boat is a whole chapter in itself ——all it said on the carnet was YELLOW POWER BOAT!!!————- well the door was not just ajar —it was wide open.
Attachment 505680Attachment 505681
Mark and Renato got on like a house on fire . We became friends for years —-Angelo Renato and the Rasinis all came to our semi-detached house in Southwater .
1970 and i was down in Como collecting a brand fire new 17 foot Molinari, courtesy of Mercury and GG. Carlo also had an identical boat in white and —difference being he had a brand new RV to tow it with. Giorgio was driving the unmarked Molinari tow truck along with Angelo. I had Phil ROLLA as my companion in a converted ford camper van .
we left at around ten in the morning heading for the Mont Blanc tunnel. At 12 sharp we stopped at a rather celebrity’s ALBERGE where lunch was pre-booked . ROLLA had managed to lose his wallet but Rasini told him not to worry ,he would take care of things .
Customs and border control were a breeze —all the paperwork was done ???????
non eventual journey all the way to England —- i had arranged with Charlie Sheppard that we could spend the day testing at Fairford . Then Carlo asked if he could visit my house in Southwater . Well it was on the way to the Cotswold club anyway so i agreed . Carlo had his kids with him Mario the eldest and Roberta his youngest and his teenage daughter who was always a sensation at race meetings .
My wife Brenda and my children were somewhat surprised when three boats were towed into Woodfield .GIGI was The Rasini bodyguard —- he entered the house first and declared it ok ——-Mario was to stay with us for the next six weeks .
We all trundled up to Fairford and had two days testing —Don Ross joined us there —Renato was fastest , but not by much . All the boats were quick and lapping at times faster than the course record . We headed up to CHASEWATER ——- Was the 500 miler . Rest is history .
Couple of pictures from the 500 miler at CHASEWATER.
Billy finally got a deal out of Mercury— he got rid of that piece of crappy Yammi and is now sporting a Mercury VEEEEE_EIGHT —thats right a V8. First time I’ve seen him happy since he retired .
Old boy has been running round europe for three weeks with Lynne and Little Billy ,he caught up with Some old friends in Casale . Scott Gillman showed him round his new workshop [the old restaurant and race club at Casale].
Did not get to see Renato. He is still in Hospital. With all the nonsense still surrounding the aftermath of Covid , he wasn’t allowed to see him.
He finally gets to visit England this coming weekend . We pick him up at Heathrow and go straight down to Bristol.
Told me they have a special needs trophy for him to collect ——-I’m not ready to collect mine for a while yet .
Totally continent —- can still wipe my own arse doncha know !!!!!!!!!
Happy birthday to ROGER HINSDALE . Damn but he must be old !!
On this particular European visit the Mercury Lake X drivers (in the photo) were there to race in the Paris 6 Hour.
The team driver pairings were —
Johnny Bakos & Odell Lewis,
Bill Sirois & Roy Ridgell,
John Steinbeck & Mike Ramsay.
I know some other Mercury business was being administrated to. And that is why there are some Mercury mangers in the photo too. The photo was taken in Frankfurt Germany (circa 1967).
A side-note is regarding Bill Sirois.
Roy Ridgell years later told me about Bill stomach being squeamish the morning of the race. I mentioned that several years ago to the late, Steve Sirois (Bill’s brother) and he said, it was a situation that sometimes happen to Bill.
Almost all drivers got a touch of the EEBIE-JEEBIES before a race —-me myself think its a build up of excitement about what’s coming .
Today they give it fancy names like TESTERONE—-ADRENALIN— whereas its simply a case of “pissing yourself—- crapping your pants or puking on the pavement“ .
Most drivers take a leak during the last minutes leading up to a race —- but five minutes before the race when you are really focussed , its all super calm .
It’s a driver thing .
Talked with Billy again last night—-Timmy is coming over with him to the Bristol Reunion——- i think Lynne sent Tim as a chaperone.
In the 60‘s the American outfits never posed much of a threat in the SIX HOURS OF PARIS RACE . Set to run at maximum speed many never realised just what lumpy old water that stretch of water on the River Seine in the middle of Paris could be like . On top of that was the sewage —and the barges —-and the rescue boats —— RESCUE ???? They too loved WOT —-Boats were used to tow sunken boats back to the pits . Barges had a 100 tons of cargo and the pilots liked to hit W.O.T. Soon as they entered the course. Was a while before they learned the hard way . Then things started to change .
Yeah........river traffic can really change the surface behavior of a course. I was doing hot laps for a demo on a river in Portland OR once. A large barge and tug had gone thru just minutes before. I caught some major "air" because the roller contours were so subtle. Mercury support guys joked and said I looked like offshore competition. I responded by saying I needed to change my undies and get back on the river to find my stomach.
By the way, pre-race jitters could be anything from being bitchy to puking. Somebody on the IOGP circuit got the bright idea of doing "health & coordination" checks on drivers just before a race. This included a blood pressure check. One time mine was on the high side of the scale. High? Gee, do ya think?
Paris pits was a hard place to infiltrate as it was totally controlled be the GENDARME . We all learned early on Not to mess with them.
MICHAEL WERNER spent Sunday afternoon in jail watching the race for a minor infringement.
Renato went on the run after a confrontation and missed the race completely.
DON ROSS squared up to a gendarme [ threatened to throw him in the drink] and was immediately placed in custody.
When the AMERICANS and the ENGLISH went face to face they were nowhere to be seen ——it was regarded as „“ DOMESTIQUE“ .
But all in all if you had the correct documentation the place ran like clockwork passes were hard to come by .
Remember one time there was trouble with the CHAMPION [spark plug] truck. Was Belgium based. They never did get in that year.
One reason you didnt argue was the fact all policemen carried artillery, everything from GLOCKS and MAUSERS to Koleshnikoff subs.
Gates were closed from friday night to 4pm Sunday before and after that time a hundred thousand beings were in the pits.
The „“ITALIAN JOBS“——
been putting the finishing touches to three or four concepts . Shop is now closed until next Wednesday. I am taking six days off.
Picking the SEEBOLDS up at Heathrow tomorrow morning.
Straight down to Bristol —fun will start friday night —- memories of yesteryear when fun was paramount . Not a pretty sight i guarantee—- but five will get you ten Bristol will remember the old racers until hell freezes over!!!!!!!!
Had a good nights sleep much to my surprise . Think i might even be feeling a twinge of excitement about the things that are about to happen this weekend .
just realised this is the first time in over two years i have been out with friends for a social event. [not counting the 90th birthday event].
Bristol was never my favourite place to race in fact, i refused to race there the first two times it was held. Once told Charlie Shepherd that i would never race there—it was a lethal place, but Scottie told me it looked a lot worse than it actually was . So i raced there .
Mark my son always loved the place —— he actually finished second to Billy five times . Always claimed he could have been famous if it wasn’t for SEEBOLD.!!!!!
Totally different line up on the bench today. Taking all the circuit boats and the all metal motors to Bristol in the hope somethings go out the door.
Jackie, The sun is out and the wind has dropped.
Dock water is flat and calm.
Attractive daughters and their Mothers have all been told to stay indoors.
Bristol awaits lol..
GUESS BOAT RACERS DONT PARTY LIKE THEY USED TO—-EITHER THAT OR THOSE THAT DID HAVE ALL COPPED THEIR CLOGS ——-
Jumped up little sh-t of an hotel manager asked Tim SEEBOLD and Jon Jones to tone it down and kindly move out of the reception after they had greeted each other in the foyer !!!!!!!!!
Dingleberry did not take into account two old friends were reunited after twenty five years and fifty rooms had been booked by old boat racers ——— just shaking hands should suffice and be P feckin C.
