Thanks. Its a little beat up, but not too bad. For $300 I couldn't say no. If I could have picked any pitch, I would have picked a 26 also. I have heard a lot of good things about those TXP OT4 props. Great grip. Can be run excessively high. Specifically made for lightweight fast hulls. And compared to some other props, reasonably priced
i run the txp on a 15''+ jacked up 4''. have a hull intake.
Went for a nice ride today with this new to me RE4. Still have some chine walk. But it is a lot less and easier to handle. Boat now does 75mph with a full tank.

I finally fixed my tachometer. Well.... I bought a new one. The old tach read 7000 rpm with my 26P Chopper and 7200 with my 27P Mazco RE4. The new tach reads 6500 with the RE4. Just about perfect for the basically stock 2000 2.5 200 carb I am running. (Boyesen reeds, Bobs tuner, steel bearings and 16A switchbox ignition on premix)
27P - 1.87 ratio - 6500rpm - 75 mph = 16% slip.
That means I should be able to get a couple more mph with a little more tweaking.
your flying @ 75!
I always had better performance numbers out of the DeWald 4 blades but the pro-et was a great wheel as well. If you are going after a top number call Dave DeWald.
