Saw this out the other day, first fluid drive I've seen as it was way before my time
Thot the fluid drive just let you get away without the clutch, didn't need a clutch to shift, torque converter was the clutch??? And patching those rusty old floors with last years license plates?!
It has a clutch, but also drives like an automatic transmission, that one is an all original town and country, no bond o,54 or a56, it has a straight 8 motor, it was the only one I have ever seen, he said there are only about a hundred or so that survived ,
Remember when I was a kid the neighbor having a Ford with automatic transmission and a clutch. Too young to understand.

Learned how in a late 60's Bronco. Three on the tree!
I had a LOT of practice as back then it was common to put your child in your lap and let them drive. He worked the pedals and I was the wheel and shifter man.
SO at 10 or so I could reach the pedals... and told my uncle "I think I can drive this thing". Was on a farm back then, he just pointed the Bronco out the field and said have at it! I got it to second gear and was going for third and he said "That's fast enough!" LMAO!!!
I still have 3 small Broncos. Two are pretty much parts and one driver. The three on the tree became so problematic, I converted it to a floor (Hurst) shifter.
The runner has a pretty hot motor, less the heads sucked. I used to out run 85 Mustang GTs until I hit third... Third was a turd... Had I had toploader 4 speed though... :)
I have a bunch of HO?? track and cars... OLD cars... And the track.. I have a bunch of bank turns and flats.. I need to set up a track... That would be fun!

Still have the HO track that I got my son. Really about 3 sets...We set it up around the holidays to challenge all the family that comes over. We have a blast with it. Course our cars are hopped up with sticky foam slicks, cut down contact shoes etc. We use a seperate power pack on each lane for max power...:D
That is the local station in my town.
