Always surprises me just how god fearing i am at Christmas —-i do deep thinking— a bit of reflection — im not deeply religious— im one of those that pray every day —- mostly for friends and relations . Today, i am having a late lunch/dinner at Boo‘s down in FINDON VALLEY . Was going to be a greatfaamily gathering of the Morris/Wilson clans —- afraid that’s gone out of the window .

USA airlines shutting down or canceling flights by the dozens. Indoor dining and events not shut down but if you haven't been vaccinated, you're not going to attend. Am hearing if you had the 1st, 2nd dose plus a booster, and get a breakthru infection (Omicron) its like nitrous oxide for your immune system when you get thru the symptoms. I'm planning on a "4th" booster of some kind in April / May 2022. These vaccinations remind me of oxydizers we used to add to racing fuel. Omicron showing up in kids but not nearly as severe as where we were a year ago. Covid shots are starting to be "routine" just like flu shots. I don't think I'll be pitching my mask out for years? NFL is even postponing games due to Covid protocol. Too many players benched / quarantined to even make a starting lineup. Assistant coaches have had to fill in for head coaches too. Crazy weather Christmas — when i was a kid it was always colder than charity— usually snow and frost —skating on the lake —snowball fights — making slides on a frozen pavement . This year was different . Temperature was unseasonably high some ten degrees higher than normal. Breeding ground for bugs. RAIN-RAIN-and still more feckin rain. Christmas has been and gone —its now as far off as it will ever be -[one of my sainted mothers favourite quotations].
Back in SUPERSHED tomorrow . Cant be doing with sitting on my backside doing nothing any more .
actually sold quite a fair bit of clobber over Christmas . Dropped the price on everything —seems to have done the trick —-sold a beautiful tool box —brimming with sockets half —three eights and quarter drive . Lowered the price to £50-00. went in the first ten minutes.
INTERESTING —- that particular piece i made for my wife‘s Christmas present some eight/ten years ago. I later transferred it to a concrete plinth for the garden. It has travelled to the last three houses and is currently ensconced under the RED ACER —- see if i cant take a piccie later today .
RIDING THE TUBE—- ANOTHER BLAST FROM THE PAST —- gave it to my grandson JOE— he’s a boarding fanatic . Hell of a lot of fernagling been chucked under the bed since then.

Been a long old day— lots of fernagling , with very little to show for it .
Decided to do some of my own upholstery—- bought a beautiful calf skin . Covered the body —-done the squabs in a chesterfield style . Just have both tubs to do and VIOLA —home and dry . Might even have a couple of piccies for you before the new year.

turns out that only one third of hospital cases are actually covid related —— just 66% are unrelated , but we only count covid these days.
Same newspapers tell me that the USA now has more deaths per capita than any other „“CIVILISED“. Country FROM COVID !!!!!!!!!!!
We are „“unlocked“ for the new year —- unlike Scotland and Wales— so we will have a mass invasion from across the border from now onwards .

Happy to see the arse end of 2021–been a stone bitch of a year for a lot of folk.
DIDNT affect me much at all, apart from the lack of air transport anywhere .
was lucky enough to have SUPERSHED to hide in . FERNAGLED my time away as i grew older — i got a great deal better at some things .
Never did get around to finishing the book—simply ran out of time — time thief beat me hands down.
I have the kit — [ipad4] with enough memory to write a hundred books —simply lost another year somewhere along the way .
sold a bunch of stuff—- the Jaguar f type concept —-a couple of boats and believe it or not got a whole new commission to build a very special car . Show you when its done .
Finally, at last its here —final day of 2021. i never wish for the future, god knows it comes quickly enough anyway , ready or not !!!!

Stepped out of the shower this morning and let loose one of my well known horrendous farts— towelled off , but the melody lingered on as the song says .
Daughter had bought me a couple of SMELLIES for Christmas —KALVIN KLEIN, OBSESSION AND ETERNITY. So i doused myself with a goodly amount of the former . DIDNT help much — even KALVIN couldn’t disguise the pungent aroma of a well placed Wilson fart. Thought to myself , maybe i should have used ETERNITY!!!!!! Did bring about the smallest titter !!!!!!!
Lets face it —some things are just meant to be .
What’s all this got todo with TRICKS ???????? Well just about everything —-its what we do!!!

HERE WE GO AGAIN —- made another year — wonder what this ones going to bring . More taxes , thats for sure . Think they finally milked the car cow dry !!!
car tax—- road tax —petrol tax —-parking tax—-purchase tax —-VAT —— MOT —- city tax —speeding fines ——then the final ignominy—— death of a car tax ——- a get rid of tax —— i think the car cow just died .
i am not ever changing cars again —- trusty Lexus is running like a well oiled machine —- no need to even think about it —-its paid for —-its hybrid —- 35 mpg —-low tax [until the tax man plugs the hole] i have had it nearly four years and it still runs like clockwork. So, it‘s a Jap—- it could have been a Kraut or frog —- an Eytie or a Yank. Nothing built at home that turns me on — so it would never be an English product. Older i get — more i reminisce.

nailed the intelligent Sunday crossword yet again — couple of new [entirely irrelevant] words were thrown in — nothing we couldn’t manage .
Nothing else for it —-have to get back in SUPERSHED, although standing for more than five hours a day gives me chronic backache . Not bones out of place or muscular problems — might just be old Father Time getting closer and testing the waters ?????
