I'm sorry Jackie. Best wishes to you and your family.
Jackie: Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. Hang in there old man; I need someone to argue rotaries with me.
Best wishes for the best outcome Jackie.
We are all there with you in our hearts.
Just to let you know you are never far from all our good thoughts Jackie` we are so used to you lifting our spirits in trying times I wish we could all do the same for you .SP.
Don't know what to say except stay strong and remember we all wish you the best even in the worst of times.
Fellers, the best way we can keep Jackies spirits up is to keep this thread on the plane, can any of you boys post any snaps of him or with perhaps with him in it..... Even some good recollections would I,m sure pep him up some.....
I'm too much of a "thick 'un" to be able to post anything myself picturewise, but I am sure others with more savvy will chip in...Phill
Bob V, Thanks for your prompt reply, nice to see my ex F.I.L. Don Ross in that snap.

That, is a picture that would make any Dad proud!! I wonder what their eyeing up..Blond or Boat??
Thanks for posting..........
Had a spot of bother this last month, done three ambulance rides in three weeks and each time it felt like a very fat man sat on my face for a very long time. "At the third stroke" there must be one of those talking clocks in the US of A.
It left me a tad pissed off as well as having a sloppy side to my nature.
Jilly demanded I stop messing about--------but in actual fact I wasnt.
This time they demanded I stay off the streets until they find out what can be causing above average funn face.
they seem to think I'm curable--------anyway they decided to turn me loose early next week if I don't enter any more "KNURDLING" competitions.
Three times in three weeks was cause for concern.
Upshot of all this -------I have been inside more machines than Darth Vader and Harrison Ford, Spock, kirk and Uhuru combined.
Was not feeling quite up to par as a result off all these shenanigans ------you just have to bear with me a while longer
I think I once said your were a "crotchety old bastard" for which I apologize. Though we disagree on rotaries, we ended up friends; to the extent I tell my wife about my concerns for your well being; and she has no earthly idea who you are. Get well my friend, as I'm sure we need many more discussions about rotaries.
Get yourself well Jackie. I know everyone is pulling for you. It was great to see the pics your friends posted. God bless you and yours.
Dave
I absolutely cherish the fact that I was privileged to formally introduce Jackie Wilson and John Sheldon (Rotary John) seconds before taking this photo. Despite their differences on the OMC rotary, which John was deeply involved in its development, they almost instantly became fast friends. - Steve Sirois

Vicki Wilson (Mark's beautiful wife) - Looks on proudly as Aiden, Craig, Jackie, and Mark sit on the bow of the famous Cosworth/Hodges boat.
....get well soon Jackie. Those Docs will get it figured out I am sure.
Let me tell you from first hand experience ------Hospitals are places for going to and coming from------and not through choice, you don't want to be "Passing through" on your way. I'm giving 'em a very wide berth from here on in. Another thing, they're far too busy to cater for old farts like me!!!
Finally, I like my nurses to be "HUMANOIDS"--------by the law of averages, there has to be one half tidy looking blonde somewhere in West Sussex. If there was, she was playing hide and seek with Dr. Kildare 'cos she never informed me of her present whereabouts. But I tell you one thing with absolute certainty, there's some absolutely pug--ugly women posing as nurses, honest to MURGATROYD ------you would not even invite them into bed , before, during or after the event, and I never thought I was that picky. After this last fiasco, I think ill join the queue at the pearly gates and take my chances---------no way could you be that unlucky THREE times. Anyway, that's all behind me now, done my bit of penance, supped the cold coffee, munched on a hard fried egg, with a slice of curled up toast and fourteen pills. ( Life is like a box of chocolates, don't know what you got 'till some bugger ups and steals it).
Workshop is out of bounds, at least until the new year, driving licence revoked for a tad longer, got feeling back in my fingers so i can pound out the digits and annoy the hell out of you all.
Wer'e gonna have "Fun, fun, fun till his mummy takes his I pad away .
Back to normal Jackie, thats good news
Jackie, You can annoy us as long as you want!
Merry Christmas.....Jackie...May the New Year bring you happiness and HEALTH!....
Jackie, it's good to see you back in the saddle again, the boys were running out of nice things to say about you........Phill.
Don't know if any of you got to know Mike Butler. (MDP), ------tomorrow is the last day of his working life for MERCURY. A long and happy retirement Mike.
He is the guy that put together "Little Red" one of the TWISTERCRAFT built by Stippitch and Jannish I believe-------you would have to ask him about those things, or we could get into discussions about them.
My own point of view is the boats weren't as good as the R and D lumps that pushed them, it's all open for discussion and would be a good talking point for Christmas, shall we give it a try?
Merry Christmas to you and all the Wilson family Jackie good to hear you are getting back up to speed again.Plenty of good looking nurses in this part of the country Jackie I am sure they would meet with your approval. Did you ever get to hear anymore about Chas Shooters est with all those jeeps and Albatross Ski boats.
...welcome home Jackie! There's a ton of good looking nurses at the Medical Center in Houston if you ever make it over this way! Merry Christmas and good health to you and the Family.
Jackie,
So sorry my friend to read about your recent health issues. Knowing you, you'll be up & at it by spring.
Take good care of yourself, do as the doctors say & take your meds, but stay away from the Volipicello.(splg)
Merry Christmas Jackie to you and your family. May your world keep going round and round instead of up and down.
Merry Christmas and I hope OFF to you all
Merry Christmas Jackie. I know you've been through the wringer lately and I hope things go better in the future.
Dave
Looking back over the last ten months and perusing all the threads that are still standing,it would still seem that the old ones are the best,Willabees-----hot singles and hot multis----------V6 Merc history R/J's Rotary history-----TALES FROM THE X FILES-------Plenty of Swedish history but you have to hand it to Lasse-------------Not even
Mercury would give Seebold a golden ambassador award,-------WHAT<______A WHOLE-------FECKIN ----BOAT!!!------ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR TINY MIND ?
Started this little snippet soon as i left the loony bin but somehow it got misplaced along the way and i only just caught up with it, time has come to offer you all glad tidings of great joy--------and hail fellow well met and all that sort of stuff.
You only have to read this old tricks to realise the miracles that occur every day through these columns , now I'm not the worlds most religious sort of chap, but then again I'm not the most heathen sort of being you ever met either-----probably somewhere in the middle you might say------funnily enough there always seems to be somebody ready to 'give us a chuck' when i most need it.
i don't know if its Murgatroyd--------the Lord-----Jesus-------him upstairs--------could always lean quite heavily on him whoever it turns out to be---------theres always been SOMEBODY or SOMETHING there when i most needed it---------i think all we have to do is open our eyes and as if by magic another little miracle appears.
So from me to each and every one of you, my sincerest christmas wishes and as SCROOGE himself said "A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL
merry christmas Jack and all on scream & fly.
Well, as my sainted mother used to say,"It's as far away now as it ever will be"-------(she was referring to Christmas of course) she used to say as long as you kept the spirit and message of Christmas you would do all you ought to, then again she had a multitude of sayings-----most of which she could recite off'n the top of her head.
We have just one bright kid in the family, George, he's 23 now and was at Brooke's college Oxford.
Spent a year teaching kids in China to speak English and play football (soccer), and learned to speak Mandarin, now has a visa to work in Oakland Cal. I have no idea how come it's Oakland, but it is, problem is, I don't know anyone there. He leaves midday today, seem to have spent a long time putting the world to rights with him over Christmas ------- a very nice personable Young man, one of the old fashioned sort of kids--------haircut and not too scruffy-----sort of kid you would be happy to walk down the street with.
Ventured into the workshop for an hour yesterday while Jilly went for her daily walk------bit depressive-----looks a bit like something used to happen there, but doesn't any more, will make a positive effort and put some life back into it. Must take a couple pics of something. What was it Scarlet said to Rhett-----"tomorrow is another day".
Well it's all over but the crying, in the blink of an eye, Christmas came and went-----I'm still here, got another birthday next month.
get fitted with a monitor on Monday and evaluated a week later---------adoo ron Ron ----adoo RON ron-----what the hell was the name of that song we all used to sing-------I met her on a Monday and my heart stood still---------adoo Ron ron---------------etc,
in another week the person in charge is going to scrape the pipes in the neck clear of all the crap that's deposited itself in there, should be the answer to all my problems, Jan 4th is when I should get my licence back, and some semblance of order return into my life. My sister Ange has been on vacation in the Maldives for three weeks and was coming to dinner tomorrow , but husband Clive caught a flu bug on the way back, has the SQUITS and has been barred from the house, pity, Jilly got a great leg of pork, roast spuds, parsnips and Yorkshire puddings and we still have half a plum pudding with rum sauce and double cream for afters.
if any of you are passing around lunchtime tomorrow , feel free to pop in for lunch, plenty to go round and I guarantee Jilly's Hog Roast and crackling with apple sauce is something you will remember for the rest of your natural.
Father Christmas was kind this year--------got two Cashmeres, a thick knit Barbour and a roll neck woolen sweater.
No you can't have my cast off Cashmeres Billy, I got a queue waiting for those specially the "Pringles". That's it for tonight folks-------MYGGWY .J.
Dammit my Man Jack !!! what the hey happened ??? I just got on this thread after our meeting in November. I sent you a PM on Christmas morning, didn't get a reply as I guess you we're "Kinda pre-0ccupied" I need to go back and read the previous pages to get up to speed. I am a Religious Person, and belive in the power of prayer, and I'm calling in some SUPERSIZED ones for you RIGHT now, love you my new friend, you are such a kind person to spend time with, don't you go checking out on me! I'm not done picking your brain, DAMMIT :nonod: Fun Out
Got too far still to go down Lifes long and winding road to falter just yet KEITH just have to give the body's nose an extra blow, clear the sinus's, straighten the back and continue the journey.
We still have to improve on this years performance at Tavares -----and I got an idea for the trophies-------raided my next door neighbours woods and got me some great Spalted timber , I may surprise you all yet. Wonder if Sorge got his trophy home safely?
That's the true spirit of a competitor !!! I know I can count on you, I had such a great time meeting you, your family, and Bill and Betty, not sure of the order, (kinda leaning toward Bills tenderloin over great conversation rather than my golf performance) Stay on the mend, know people are pulling for you. fun out
Steve, my next door neighbour popped round for a cup of tea and 16, 5mm nuts bolts and 32 stainless washers, after some extra vigorous goings on in the maritial bed over Christmas, the device had finally collapsed on them and was in urgent need of T.L.C. In the guise of the aforementioned nuts bolts and washers. I was happy to provide said items, but I i could not keep the rather large grin away from my face!! After all, what are friends for ?
