FRENCH TGV drivers are amongst the highest paid train drivers in the world .
On retirement [at 50] they receive the same pay as the day they retired with increases as if they were still working. Even third cousins and great grandkids can travel anywhere in the world on any train network for free for the rest of their lives .

i won’t be going out anywhere except to SUPERSHED— but i will go and put the heat on. This consists of a 750 watt fan heater turned up full to supplement the three cashmeres and a fleece .
Lunch at the „“GRUMPY MOLE“ was ok, company was excellent . Gave me an insight as to how the youngsters of today are coping with modern day life . Olivia has landed a job in Canary Wharf with a huge development company and pay to match. Her boyfriend is one of a family with nine kids , so he is a real down to earth lad . Waiters were gay as a jaybird — but i just let it slide by me —its their business ,not mine.

Done lots of way out stuff—-far too WAY OUT for most people —- without exception i charge minimum $900 for any SILVER GHOST ——- there’s five weeks work in each of those little suckers —- i do know of one guy who was offered double what he paid for it —turned it down— said he couldn’t replace it . One things for certain -there’s not going to be many more !!
Conflicting reports about the OMICRON strain of covid —— first we are told that its a killer with no antidote —-then its not too bad ——- then its no worse than the DELTA strain——- then you only get a mild headache … I am beginning to realise , politicians know feck all about Covid . After listening [and behaving correctly] for two years —- wearing masks—- having injections [all three] —- isolating myself and staying home —i think i have done my fair share of behaving correctly.
Thats it—im done —no more . Two years of doing what im told should be sufficient for any government —anywhere to have cured the problem. Except they haven’t. The whole shebang has been handled badly from the start . It has cost the world TRILLIONS, and for what ??? If they had sat back and done NOTHING —- not spent a penny. Would the mortality rate have been any more ???? I doubt it . Covid sought out the weak and feeble —- vulnerable people —-sick people . Yes it did affect others — seemingly fit and healthy — no i cant explain that . People who did not have the jab piss me off enormously—— and that includes some members of my own family who i thought i had taught wisely. But then again —i neither know, nor understand everything—— i just say i do .
As you may gather —- its another day in paradise — too late to go back to sleep —and too early to get out of bed . What better thing to do than bitch and moan for a while ???????
Happened again last night- afraid the world as i knew it has disappeared from under my feet when i wasn’t looking. Been a football fan all my life. All the commentators and pundits were men—- not any more ——commentators are now screaming Scottish women who just wet their knickers and scream. We used to have talented black actors on the screen——-Sydney Poutier ——- Sammy Davies —Denzil Washington——- wonderful singers and musicians —— they earned their place in history they were and are brilliant at what they do. The one thing that really stands out for me is that I wore a mask everywhere I went indoors for the past year. It's also the FIRST year in my entire life when I have NOT had a cold or sore throat!! I will "mask up" every winter (October thru April) for the rest of my life Covid or not! Family, friends included.

I have a cousin who caught Covid19 from his kid and has also gotten 1st,2nd dose and booster jabs. No problems or symptoms. No sympathy for anyone who thinks this is a hoax, conspiracy or lab experiment while they lay in a hospital on a respirator. I like how India and China were quick to point out they were not to blame for Omicron.
The one positive note that I have found about those volunteering to wear a mask, is that I know who the brainwashed morons are, without ever having to talk to them!:). By the way, I never wear a mask, indoors, big stores, large crowds, etc. Not so much as a sniffle. Pure blood, also.Quote:

I have had both Moderna shots plus the booster. I still wear a mask whenever I am in public. Does that make me a coward or a moron? I don't think so. I am a 68 year old that values what time I have left. My brother did not get the vaccine and did not wear a mask in public. I buried him last January as a result of covid.
