This is the carry case for the last concept---------built like the proverbial brick sh-thouse! Just one more box to go, then I'm back on an even keel !

Jackie, that phrase kept popping into my head today. Most fitting, I'd say. You would be the wiser fellow that Sam Elliot, the actor in this movie clip, is talking about.

Here we go again, catch me if you can. Told you it seems like it's always Thursday --------that damned roundabout of life spins ever faster, and I seem to be always chasing my tail.
Murphy somehow destroyed the cat flap on the back door------jilly bought a new replacement at B & Q, did it fit ? Of course the bloody thing didn't fit------this is 2017------no replacement of anything fits anywhere! Spent two hours on my knees , scribing, sawing ,carving, sanding, drilling to replace a bloody cat flap !
Consequence of all this is that every muscle in my body is now screaming in protest at my misuse of body parts I no longer use much-------next time I'll get a handyman in. Trouble is, they are a dying breed-------they all got old and died-------it's a diy society now using products that require a university degree in quantum physics to qualify for fitting.--------sod it, I'm off to the car boot sale looking for gold.
Amazing how nobody knows nothing about GG's antics-------Willabee knew him as well as anyone-----Butler was as close as he allowed anyone to get. Mercury personnel have always been a close knit bunch so don't expect too much from that quarter.
In the end, selling the old Aronow tooling wasn't very lucrative for Gary. They were for sale forever & ever, no takers. They finally went away, one at a time, for a song. Can't say to whom.
Gary's career is littered with such tales--------"The nearly man"----Heshould have been a billionaire many times over. Garbrecht and Fountain should have been the super boat set up before Sunseekers hit the big time. Same thing with Mach props and Second Effort. His habit of playing both ends against the middle was always going to bite him in the arse one day, --Me myself remember him best for his role as race director at Mercury.
I have a thousand tales to tell, from the minute I was told to "Talk to Garbrecht" --------
I misheard the guy, thought he said talk to Garbage--------walked into hi-perf and said I need to talk to this guy GARBAGE. He was not amused--------
Next time we met up was in Torriggia-------used to all meet early for breakfast in the local Alberge, most of the crew wanted bacon and eggs ------but American style-------what came out of the kitchen was a mish mash of Italian sausage and snotty eggs, nobody could eat it, so I I went down into Como and acquired some streaky bacon and fresh eggs-------took over the kitchen and made breakfast Oshberg style for the next week, GG liked me better after that.
That first summer in Italy with all the guys from Wisconsin, Wyrabeck (Becky). Dave Biers, Bill Welch, Roy Ridgell, Renato, Giorgio were some of the happiest times of my life!
Well now it can be told------was sworn to secrecy about the goings on in the American side of the Wilson clan.
Craig has a brand new sponsor in Spectre boats, who just happens to be the series sponsor also. He has his younger sister Kate on board as navigator -------should be interesting, wonder which one will deliver the first slap ? To me that's a highly volatile partnership, it'll either work like no other, or sink at the first turn buoy !
Media always did like a bit of skirt to brighten the day-----add to that a brother and sister ------plus a nice single good looker with a questionable temperament and you have a newsworthy pairing.
One of Craig's reasons for moving on was the fact he needed a new challenge and more seat time in a race boat.
So, he is now in charge of production at Spectre boats out of Port St. Lucie !
Right on the airfield up there, parking for a hundred cars and a near new facility of thousands of feet of factory floor. Umpteen offices etc;
one office run out of a separate garage nearby would suffice------but it seems multiple cooperate offices with views and plush carpets seems to be the norm these days.
Its all started happening so I'll just sit back and see what sort of a job he makes of it all.

Finally finished the P1 Trophy------will finish off the carrying case for it today, been on the damned thing for over two months. Spin offs will be quite interesting-------made around a dozen concepts before finally deciding on this one.
Tough to make a shilling these days------bloody good job I never relied on these things for an income. I could have been very damn hungry come the month end.
So Spectre are a sponsor for a series made from another brand of boats or does P1 own the design/build?
