Probrobly my favorite of all. Blind Melon "Change" This is recorded in a Hotel room with no electrical equipment other than the video camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdXXgppVU4c If your ever down and out feeling hopeless it a great one to listen to. Keep on keepin on!
I don't feel the suns comin' out today its staying in, its gonna find another way.
As I sit here in this misery, I don't think I'll ever see the sun from here. (in the bottom of this beer)
And oh as I fade away, they'll all look at me and say, and they'll say,
Hey look at him! I'll never live that way.
But that's okay they're just afraid to change.
When you feel your life ain't worth living you've got to stand up and take a
look around you then a look way up to the sky.
And when your deepest thoughts are broken, keep on dreaming boy, cause when you stop dreamin' it's time to die. (and right now, I don't wanta die)
And as we all play parts of tomorrow, some ways will work and other ways we'll play.
But I know we all can't stay here forever, so I want to write my words on the face of today.
and then they'll paint it.
And oh as I fade away, they'll all look at me and they'll say,
Hey look at him and where he is these days.
When life is hard, you have to change.
Sheer Insanity, very good!!!!! I think you hit the nail on the head....songs had "MEANING" !!!!!! here's another I think we forgot....OH BOY here I go again...

Ya know, The first step is always admitting you HAVE a problem!
My favorite rock movie is The Bands Last Waltz.Robby Robertson,Rick Danko and Levon Helms are the epitamy of rock and roll. Levon Helms said something to the effect, that if you took all the styles of music,Country and Western,Dixieland,Soul,Jazz.Blues etc. What do you get? Rock and Roll!
That was their last concert they ever played and it was at The Filmore in 1977.A bunch of people came out and jammed wiyh them.Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Ronny Hawkings, Muddy Waters! Yeah Muddy frickin Waters! He was about 80 years old,Bob Dylan,Neil Diamond and more. I heard Levon Helms has a farm in up state New York that they have jams at in the barn on saturday nights. Maybe you New York know about it! If you hav'nt seen this movie I am begging you, PLEASE watch it. You will never regret it. Thanks,Brent

Hey E-Tech...are you a little tired today :D...no more songs ....
It really was funny yesterday, I felt like I was obsessed and taken over by music :o:o:o:D........
I believe thats an understatement..................
be back later...........i do need to get work done at some point....
Someone mentiond "The Band" in reference to the Blues Brothers. Sue has it covered...THAT is "The Band"!
The only other that comes close to earning that title (at least to me) is Bob Segers "Silver Bullet Band".
Springsteen might object, but the 'E street Band' doesn't get in the same ballpark for me.
