You did it again Bob, thanks.
Finally got to speak to Craig about leaving GEICO after six years IN Jupiter.
Seems it was time for him to move on-----Gary Stray was his boss for six years and I'm certain Craig learned a lot from him.
His new job is still to do with race boats, but even more so , big pay rise and huge responsibilities (no such thing as a free breakfast)------ he gets to race boats, but this time he gets paid to do it !
MUMBAI.
He finished second in the individual standings overall, but missed out on the team pairings by one point, so he finished second again.
Not bad considering it was a strange boat and set up------( winner was racing his own boat and motor, and had a top speed some two seconds a lap quicker than the rest ).
Told him it was a lesson learned, just put it in the memory box for the next race !
Bought another pile of alloy ingots from the scrappy (you have to get them when there available).

Any uglier and and they would qualify for the circus------kids with a can of PLAYDO must have designed the cover on these things.
Paint 'em all one colour without decals and you couldn't tell the difference between a jap and a yank motor!
Just like F1 cars and drivers and chinamen-------they all look alike.
feel free to comment ?
I think old farts go fishing weekends-------Little **** Serra goes every day, so he doesn't count ! Even Bobby V didn't alter the picture so he must be away with the fairies too.
Tried doing a couple of new mounts for the latest "commission"--------final concept has to be more than good-------only brilliant and fantastic will do----------when it's cash money people are paying, they want only the best--------can't get away with "nearly" any more. Problem with that is , you spend a lot more time and materials actually trying to get it right.
I like working in the shop seven days a week------five or six hours a day---------- folk ask why I do it ?
same reason folk go fishing or golfing-------or I could be simply "mad as a hatter or a March hare"
Sorry, even I have to occasionally take a day off from the blue screen. Hope that this does not get me relegated back to the "naughty step."

Quote "EVEN I have to take a day off sometime ? Unquote ------to do what?
You wont tell me how, so I feel it's my job to keep you busy !
No good putting you on the naughty step Bob, you didn't learn a damned thing from putting you on there the first time------not even a half decent sniffle !
Spent the whole morning doing a special mount for one of the wooden boats ( the one out of Elm), this is for the concept I'm doing for Mark's 60th birthday next Saturday. He's like me------got everything he needs, so I decided to do him something a bit special for the occasion.
We got relations coming for Sunday lunch, so that's put the kybosh on getting anything done this afternoon-------upside is, we got a delicious slab of Irish beef for me to carve !
Well, they came, they ate and they left. It's 5:30pm and too late now to start up again. Still as Scarlet so famously said---------"Tomorrow is another day"--------
Didn't hear much about the spring meeting in Tavares-------I heard Ted Boyd could be going. What about you Rich ? And Roger, Stavros, Seebold and little sh-t Serra ?
Monday, Monday, -----just love that day! -----who remembers Mamma Cass?
6:30 am and the suns up------gonna be a bright sunshiny day--------spring has sprung and I have a million things to do in the next three days.
That damn helter skelter of life is now at maximum RPM------tried to slow it down once or twice but no luck, all I can do is belt up and hang on tight.
May take a couple of piccies for you all (if things go right) just to prove this old bastard's really hauling mail these days---------"I have a cunning plan" as Black Adder used to say !
All will be revealed Saturday-------watch this space ?
Hey Johnno-----been thinking of you all day long, just done Mark A very special concept for his 60 th birthday on Saturday Propulsion is a 6 stack rotory by "JELDON"-------don't suppose you come across this one too often. Claims 840 hp from the 6 rotor lump. . Nice looking piece of kit though !
You going to Tavares this coming weekend ?
The phoggie is my very last race ever-stepped away from the boat and gave it to Mark.--------Paris 6 hours------I forget the year-------may have been '79. Seems like a damn long time ago-------but then again, so does last week.
i haven't forgotten the bottle of malt----------one day !

Marks birthday Saturday ---------made a boat out of a fantastic chunk of English elm-------spent far too long on the mount, -------then fabricated a concept of the Six stacked 840 hp "Jeldon" rotaries ?
Rotory Johns brother Willie makes Weldon pumps.
Decided the "Jeldon" needed six stacks (All rotory outboards were bloody noisy anyway) so I spun up six of em. -------was late when I finished them-----------interfered badly with CC time, so not much reading for you tonight.
Talk amongst yourselves-------I'll get back to you tomorrow!
Saw Rich being helped into his overalls by Doreen--------when you get to that stage of not being able to get your leg in, there's absolutely no chance of getting the leg over-------let's all wish Rich a speedy recovery from whatever ails him at this moment in time--------they will find a cure for this one day !
Will take just a couple of hours to fit the pipes to the "Rotory", then send it with Sam , so he gets it in time for his birthday. I saved a bunch of bubble wrap just for this occasion.
Been looking for travel insurance again, (its that time of year) .
Im sure you've all seen those ads on TV --------medical insurance from $10 ???? -----that must be for an hour-----if you don't leave the house ?
After weeks of Internet perusal and chasing Sunday paper ads etc. Jilly came up with one that is Only. £2,500---- wait until you reach 85 and try to get insurance cover------American Express loved me for 30 years------never once had a claim. Then dropped me like a hot turd when I reached 75. Flat refused any cover whatsoever!
Same thing with car insurance---------had a licence for nearly 70 years, with not a single claim in all that time, but to the insurance companies it all counts for nothing !
Anyone else have this problem ?
