VP 280 OD is like a brick. New long block, 96, last 3 years, all new pumps, carb, electronic ING, upgraded to new exhaust Manifolds....cut the raw water pick up in half, right side under the motor. Made a flusher..(you can see it, right side motor, just above the exhaust man)..now its a fire, in salt, ..fine me, then a fresh water flush off the slip, and then SaltaWay ran through. Been 3 years the EX Mans, and they look fine! Boat is SOLID, hull/transom..but over the years, rain, fishing in the ocean, hose out, ..well, the floor , typical cheap Bayliner, is slightly "spongy" in two spots, but easy fix, and really not worried about. And again..its 33 YEARS OLD!:D..Bayliners get a bad name, when the owner needs an azz kicking instead...like anything else.."MAINTENANCE RULES"!
Well, not like old songs, but a "dirtbike", running through the woods! THATS a song. Been emailing a old friend back east about whatever we come up with..few beers, "new story!"
Anyway, close to me is some wild, fun, "dirt playground". Like said, 51 years riding, roads and dirt..(and Ice Raced for years too..pix that here back a zillion pages..(MARK.. SUE, the rest..been a GRAND TIME this thread? Cyber friends, all points the country..(still think, we live close to each other?..gonna be trouble soon!.
Anyway, this is a place, very close me..TOO MUCH FUN!..And be a few more post here, Cap Forest..Pix won't show, but next is a vid, "dirtbiking..off the dirtbike trails, at speed..but start doing the hiker trails! Thats next, read the rest first....(email sent)...
Heres some, the Capital Forest here..
DUDE.., retire and get the **** out Illinois! Come on out here..I'll set ya up. ..Illinois has good food, but we got damn good.."playgrounds!"..lots of it here..I'm a 9 mile ride, end of a Peninsula, end the road, or get wet!..2 lane out back to HWY 101, then the Cap Playground, is 5 miles more..(also, I do NOT stop, for but two stop signs, here HOA, then a free "stopless" 55 mph ride, all the way there!, WE HAVE NO RURAL TRAFFIC!.."cept some do gooder. that runs the posted speed, at 50, and we do 60 plus..funny how an asshole , doing the limit, gets ya pissed off, its a simple tree lined, zero anything ride home..but ..well, can't fix stupid, that see a "sign"...worry the deer, not the damn sign!
Anyway, think the Cap forest, is a good 100,000 acres...have to look it..
Capitol State Forest
Capitol State Forest
Conveniently located just 5 miles from Olympia, Capitol State Forest is a popular place for a variety of recreation opportunities. Open to the public since 1955, campers, hikers, hunters, horseback riders, mountain bikes, and off-road vehicle (ORV) riders all play here. Whether spending a week in a campsite, an hour picking mushrooms, or taking an afternoon drive for the scenic views, an estimated 800,000 people visit the forest each year.
Capitol Forest is divided into two parts to prevent conflicts between motorized and non-motorized recreation. Motorized recreation, such as ORVs, is allowed on the northern half, and horseback riding is limited to the south. Mountain bikers and hikers use both halves of the forest, with some trails limited to hikers only.
Trails are open year-round for hikers and mountain bikers. Trails for motorized vehicles and horseback riders are open from May through November, along with the forest campgrounds. Trail closures during the winter help DNR protect forest soils and streams that are important for fish habitat.
With Washington's population increasing, and more and more forest land being developed, there are fewer forests for people to enjoy. As a working forest, Capitol State Forest can continue to be a place where people work and play outdoors, where the harvesting and replanting cycle brings an unending stream of revenue to the school and county trusts, and where native plant and animals and their habitats thrive—for centuries to come.
Volunteers help create a better forest experience
DNR relies on the good work of volunteers to help build and maintain campgrounds and trails in Capitol State Forest. They pick up garbage, restore damaged areas, and provide information to visitors. Many people volunteer in organized recreation groups, some as individuals, and all care about the forest.
Heres a dirt biker, in the Cap Forest, helmet Cam, and going way off road, doing hiking paths! Now, theres music here, but turn the sound down,. and watch, these 2 idiots!..(or should say?.."GOOD GEARHEADS!"..playing in the CAP! Enjoy the ride!

come back, come back Mark...I need you tonight!!!
I would like to send this song up to Heaven, to my best friend in the world (since 5th grade) Donna's mom. It was a tough week, she went in the hospital for appendix surgery, was fine, getting ready to be released, than coded. She was in a coma this past week and today they pulled life support (it was her wishes) and we watched her slowly pass away. It reminds me again, how precious life is, we are here one minute and gone the next. Live, Love and Laugh!!!!! and don't have any regrets. May God's love surround my friends mom, I have known her all my life!!!

Sue, a real cutie down the street here, 3 cute kids, felt ill one day. Thought just the flu, or something. Belly hurt bad though. Soon got very worse, 911 call, burst appendix. Poison in the body. She lived, after 3 days, ER.
Sad too hear this..and this.."and we watched her slowly pass away"..well, thats a good thing to be at, tough as it is...lost my mom, after a massive stroke, 3 years, no walk, no talk, nursing home. God gave her one more, said.."you are coming with me now".
She was damn near comatose, the hospital, but my brother, .SIL, sister, and me were there..I kissed her cheek, talked to her, and she was damn near ready to give life up, at 84.
She gave my hand a squeeze....best she could do..RIP mom..
