Oh you guys are gonna have to give me a set of directions. Both Mapquest and the GPS try to put you on parkways. I'll be in jail instead of at the race!

Jimbo its real easy to get out this way, if you are coming out by me you just take 95 south to the throgs neck bridge, go over the throgs neck bridge stay int eh middle lane, then fork to your left onto the clearview. Take the clearview to 495S then take 495 to exit 44s (135) and just take that down to sunrise highway and your pretty much here. If your launching out closer to patchague then take 495 to exit 62s (nicholls rd) and then your very close to where you have to be also.
where can you launch in Patchague?
Mike/Vnemous
I went on Google maps centered in on Long Island, put it on the satellite image setting, then kept enlarging until I found Great South Bay, then Patchague Bay. In Patchague Bay if you enlarge enough you will see a nice Ramp at the end of Pine Neck Ave. next door to White Water Marine Services. Then you can get ML to give you directions to that. It kind of looks like a public ramp to me. I just figured these guys would rather go from where they are so we can do a little boating, but I'll go in where ever they want.
A ride all the way out there from tanner int eh sutphen would be a blast!
Yeah but from Burns to where the race is and back is gonna be quite a run in maybe some snotty stuff. Im sure where the race boats are going in there will be a ramp even though they are using a crane.
yea sure count me in james! i would run my own boat out there if i know i have a big boat to break the waves on the way home. usually the wind is out of the southwest so its a 25 mile ride home in a possible 4 foot head sea
Hey we will figure it all out but I'm a definite go.
You guys ever think about comming down here for the AC race. Its early this year.
I may not be faster then vnemous on the water, but the old jeep can still tow pretty fast!

Hey Mike
All went smooth?
Hoser Id rather be pulling that monster generator any day then boating..... Way more of an adrenaline rush being that big for me!
You better hope your boss never read this thread. You'll be paying him to go to work.
TTT for Johny Geico. He wanted to see this thread.
Mark Henderson was nice enough to let me throttle his 22 at the OPA World Championships. I was in the boat on Sat for testing. WHAT a blast! Loved it! Didnt land quite as nice as the Cobra but still had fun :D
Took 95lbs up front to make it a good ocean boat with a 3.0 on the back though...ended up flying nice!Attachment 287327
Looks awesome. How did you guys finish and what is that your running against?
Unfortunately in the race they had an overheating issue, but they were battling for first when it happened. Its a great class! 3 22 Velocity's, A rally sport, checkmate and a baja. More coming out next year
Actually we were IN First when we shut her down.
Class 7 is going to be great next year-we should have at least 10 boats, possibly 12. Kevin from Fuller's Marine captured the picture that Johnny posted in post 1392-this picture is the definition of Class 7/SOB racing!!!!!
What prop are you running with the 250 etec. I am running a 225ho etec with a tropy 27 at 75mph on gps motor mounted flat on the back with one more hole too move up. I was offered a 250ho from a friend who is selling his boat and was wondering if swapping a 225ho for a 250 ho is worth the work. Any advise would be appreciated.
Looks Great. Enjoy.
84 just got it
