Sorry Fuji— doesnt look like im allowed to post it any more?????????
Where did you get the first one from Bob—- i never saw her before in my life. Please tell me they do not MUTATE .
No, these honeys morph...only the "not so pretty" ones mutate. The first one is Melinda (Mel) Dowding and she is from your neck of the woods in Bournemouth.
On another note, has anyone heard anything from Gene Lanham? It has been two weeks since he was last on S&F and that is not like Gene. I know that Willabee hibernates from time to time, but not Gene...?? I just lost my brother to Covid-19 three weeks ago and it has really opened my eyes about how bad this beast can be. Sure hope that Gene is OK...??
...wow. very very sorry to hear this bob. my sincerest condolences to you & the family...
We lost my brother in-law last Friday to a combination of cancer and COVID. If no one at our homes is keeping up with our online stuff we just vanish from these pages when we get real sick or die.
...its nice that you shared this bob. thank-you. important & good to know info, & could save someone else. cool boat photo. i think you might have posted this great pic a couple years ago, as i do remember it...

Just heard from Gene, he is alive and warm. Says his computer broke and he's been really busy trying to retrieve the lost data. Says he needs help getting back on S&F so I sent a message to Greg. Hopefully he'll be back correcting Jackie very soon.

Your brother may have known my brother; Arnold "Skip" Sheldon. He worked for DuPont for 30 yrs. Was the main. honcho at the Brevard NC. plant . Worked in Wilmington 66-69.
looks like Dave Biers with that cookie S CURVETURE. On „“MISS TITTIE’ That never worked >
dont waste your time trying to correct me—— even my sainted mother failed miserably. They built HOUSES OF CORRECTION ————— they simply never managed to get me in one of those either ‚. Learned ALL the old tricks before i became an old dog. Just leave me be and get on with your knitting.
Most gave up on me a long time

If the old Molinari hull Miss Titti, can be located today, then I know a fitting way to get her back to Italy.
Have the Riva transporter pick her up at the seaside dock, and put her back on Italy soil.
And then have Jackie honor both, with a scaled model.

BEAST FROM THE EAST 111 is chucking that damned white stuff at us right now .
!5 million of us had the first covid vaccine .
EU is wooing Vladimar Putin for their Sputnik 207 vaccine . Same guy that goes round all the civilised countries poisoning Russian dissidents . But thats all forgotten and forgiven when it comes to lack of jabs !
Eu continues to rubbish the oxford vaccine —- saying its not effective against the South African strain.
Oxford vaccine was in operation long before they discovered the South African strain. But, as the scientists claim —- just add to the mix and it will be effective.
I was dead set against leaving the EU—- but i changed my mind. Lambs are only raised for slaughter.
Time for the lion to growl before going hunting.
England should have put out the ladies rugby team, never seen such a lack lustre performance by such a team of heavyweight athletes in my life.
Six nations played over the weekend—— only team that looked like they had any desire at all were the french. All the other teams looked and played like pussies.
Made those quite a few years back, before Pontious was a Pilate —- when all i had was hardwood. Still have two or three 8 foot planks of ash and oak. Long before i got into heavy metal .
Finally getting the workshop cleared out . Sold off a lot of machinery , but the replacement machines are top quality and smaller . Should see me out ok.
I'm back!!
Thanks, GREG!!

...Welcome back Mr. Lanham...:smiletest:
[QUOTE=Lake X Kid;3264624] Miss 'Titti' was back on the Colorado a few months later---driven by Bill Sirois--Bill was in the lead at the 5 hour mark--but suffered the same fate as all the team entries--
The 'S' bottom boat was destroyed in a tragic accident

Jackie did you see the new Merc, they crossed an OMC rotary with Chrysler L drive?
...hey, no sex jokes...;)
Jackie: Even you have to admit the rotary was beautiful compared to that new Merc monstrosity.
...crickets..........
...he did say he had to move again...(?)...
OK—— respite over —- i pad back where it should be . Afraid i cracked the screen from arsehoes to breakfast time and had to send it back to APPLE . Lucky for me , my daughter Sam had taken out insurance . Received the all singing and dancing , brand fire new replacement ten minutes ago. Bad news is —— im back. All i need is a little time !!!!!!
i'm glad you are back and i am sure i am not the only one.
I suspect we all were fearful the dreaded covid got the better of you. Glad to see it was only the computer.
Hey you old fart. If you think the rotary was a submarine with a dust pan, I hate to think what you would call the piece of crap merc just came out with. Good thing they didn't have it when you were racing; you would tip over any time you tried to turn a corner
It's called the New Tower of Power!
All 12 cylinders.

Think we need to look back at our own history here for a minute. What did the Rotory weigh compared to the Merc six ???
Then there was the OMC V8 . Had to be hundredweights heavier than anything swinging a prop. Definitely scared the crap out of the opposition, so lets sling mud at it !!!!!!! Never achieved anything, but it felt better !
Fact that the new 600 Merc weighs in at 1250 lbs doesn’t help it a lot . That’s some hundreds of pounds over what the cosworth complete with its drive weighed in at .
De-Je-Vous ?? History repeating itself ???? I don’t know —— only time will tell.
Seriously, five and six motors on the bum of anything that floats ????? Only way to harness that sort of power , is to transmit it through the hull.
Remember how transom failed when the WIZARD was dropped on one ??? Remember the early days of the V8‘s, arse ends ripped out of usually reliably strong boats ? Granted most of them were wood, before the idea of building a race boat out of a bucket of resin and a roll of cloth came into being.
Innovation has always been ridiculed by those that didn’t invent it —- just a fact of life .
DUAL PROPS AND A SWIVELING BOTTOM END —— ME MYSELF WOULDNT BET THE FARM ON IT —- IMAGINE SIX GEARCASES ALL TURNING HARD LEFT {OR RIGHT}. DOESNT BEAR THINKING ABOUT.
I can remember the problems that steering any outboard device over the years has created .
Now the problems have been compounded into THE SWIVEL—— going to be interesting methinks, certainly would like to hear what the Mercury boffins think!!!
Was quite nice to hear a couple of friends did in fact notice the fact i was „“INCOMUNICATO“—-
i did in fact busy myself by trying to create a concept or two of the 600 12 cylinder Mercury outboard. One is a centre console cat with a pair of the damn things on its bum.
Another is a 50‘ Mystic with four stitched to the transom. Promised that to Scottie B. If Gary Stray doesn’t take it . And a single that i haven’t made up my mind what to do with yet.
I do have about twenty concepts , both circuit and offshore . Offshore boats range in size from 12“ to 20“ — both Vee bottoms and Cats!!! Single and multiple engines . Most of them are priced at 250 dollars US. Yes i can post—- but you pay postage, which can be between $40/50 us.
If you are interested . Let me know . Email. [email protected]. {all lower case} yes, i do have a number of early efforts of Switzer Wings —— Apache 40‘s—- cigarette and Mystic hulls .Both inboard and outboard !!!!! Can do a deal on multiples if asked.
Sold most of the machines i had—— just have the bandsaw and belt and disc sander { 6“ belt and 9“ disc} both JET and man enough for my purposes .
BOUGHT AND PAID FOR ALL THE NEW MACHINERY—- just waiting for SUPERSHED to be built before bringing them to the new abode!
