We have what is known as the "Oshkosh River Rats" breakfast bunch about once a month. Wayne was there - I had never met him. He came and introduced himself to me! Looks to be doing well.

...amberjack, i knew andy wiggers as well. he died back in 2008. he sold his home in east oakland park off of prospect ave.(lauderdale) & bought a mobile home close to the beach up in juno beach, while he continued his hauling business. he died up there. i remember the two "people hauling" boats he built for nick cripps as well. i helped him build them. they were 30' chris cat hulls we got from a fellow named harry up in the middle of the state, that had one of the sets of chris cat molds. think it was 10 thousand for just a hull. then we built a bulkhead system that supported a glass covered plywood flat deck, waste high aluminum fabbed surrounding rail system with loading/unloadin at the center bow. seating all around, nice little center console, a pair of new 200 mercury's(what else), which ran rather well, etc. i was around when he started to make some good funny money in the years before that as well, he bought the porsche, tunnel boats, etc. he hauled a number of new large boats for me throughout the 90's as well. andy was a character, who enjoyed a nice cold beer...
Andy was indeed a character I stayed at his trailer One time during a bad storm up in Juno At the trailer parkAt the time my cousin Diane had a townhouse just crossed A1A from him. Andy just walked out of the trailer one day and they said he was dead before he hit the ground of a massive stroke. Went to his funeral back in 2008 I believe. I wonder whatever happened to his little Jack Russell name Sterling After NASCAR driver sterling marlin who is Andy’s favorite driver at the time. Yeah I used to go to that little warehouse in Hallandale That Andy built thoseThat Andy built those hulls And for Nick. They were one of his last projects. He was in the boat repair business at that time and had plenty of money. I think he had a condominium on 15th St. there for a while. RIP Andy WiggersBest all the old time boat racers amberjack Charlies O’Neil
