That was the only kneeldown boat I ever saw Jeff drive.
I ran against him in 59 in ASH. He was also running ASU, BSU and BSH. He was my first idol. He had the best looking boats and either he or Billy Hutchins or W. T. "Bill" Hutchins would win. He quit Stock classes shortly after that. I was lucky enough to make friends with big Bill Hutchins. We helped each other out a lot. I would get him special A motor parts from my junk pile at Dade Marine, and he gave me props and tricks.. I never knew Billy or Jeff that well, but I did know Lois, who married Tom Sheldon..Little known but Bill also raced motorcycles.Quote:
