Countdown to Tavares -----this time tomorrow and I'll be on the way to Gatwick.
Think I got most things done------if I didn't, there's always next year!
Think Mark might just have gotten the COSWORTH out of hibernation to take up to Lake Dora, he knows I would like to see it up there, near as much as I would love to hear it running again. Afraid the cost of a DFV in any guise is still prohibitive.
Am bringing a concept COSWORTH,complete with trailer to Tavares, will put it up for auction and see if anyone's remotely interested ?
Will bring the beloved I pad pro with me, just to keep in touch, I'm very much a newcomer to modern technology, and need further education in the art of "APMACNISTICS".
Well, it's 10:30 am here in England . Must be 5:30 am in florida and already the news is that Hilary will be the next president of the USA ---------how the hell that can possibly be is beyond me , have the polling stations been open all night?.
Maybe there's a modicum of truth in Trumps accusations of the ballot being "RIGGED".
How can you have a result when the polling booths haven't even opened yet?
Well, well, well, so ALL the pundits got it wrong--------Trump only went and did it-------but solo------against all the odds--------you have to admire the man-------and the American system.
At last America has someone who is not afraid to open his mouth and shout it from the rooftops the way it is---------white america finally found its voice!
If the politicians don't hogtie Trump, and his own party decide to back him all the way-----America will be greater still.
America, here I come, I want to be part of these historical celebrations ------sixteen hours and I'm there-------save some wine for me---------America, I LOVE YOU.
The new single market
Russia
Uk
Usa
Throw in a colonies and you have it all
See what happens when you throw a pebble in the european waters and decide "enough is enough"----------we didn't get wiped out, much to the rest of the worlds amazement, and Obama telling us we could no longer have a special relationship with the USA.
Now the USA has decided its time for change, maybe other EU countries will take a look at what its costing them to stay in, Old Angela Merkel must be a very worried lady at this moment in time.
"THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGING" -------good name for a song dontcha think Pilgrim?
If you could write a song about that you should win a prize.
Yes the silent majority have finally stood up to say the socialisation of the world is a failure and also the other persons money has run out as we all knew it would.
I hope being politically correct becomes illegal as well
and low and behold grass becoming legal, Bob Zimmerman was on to something.
( I think the UK vote was for the same reason)

Look ok what Mark dragged down to Key West--------were also bringing it up to Tavares next weekend.
was surprised just how much interest there was in the old boat.
First thing to sell was the COSWORTH on its trailer. Next to go was the V8 Johnson on the long Velden.Hre ended the first day.
Jackie - I know that you have a good knowledge of the Cougar boats. I found the listing for what is "implied" to be Al Copeland's 50' Popeye's boat in Ft. Myers Florida. Being in Florida, perhaps Mark has some knowledge of this one?
This could be your next concept - Think large...

Bob, I will get back to you tonight, right now I am taking a couple of hours off. The stand stays open till gone midnight-------or when the last customer leaves.
Let me make it clear that the COSWORTH and trailer i sold was the .."concept". As was the V8 Johnson and Velden.
Must get a couple of hours kip------I'm bushed!
Jackie, Put a box (make that big box) full of concepts in the Suburban today for the trip to Tavares on Wednesday. Will see you and the other duffers on Thursday. Anxious to see the COSWORTH again!! Thanks to Mark & Craig for bringing it to Tavares.

Roger, Benny Robertson came by the stand tonight, brought back a lot of memories.
Have some saucy pictures with the Mercury Girls and the body painted ladies-------
Promise to catch up in the morning.
Benny wanted the Velden and V8------would've paid a big bag of gold for it. (he said).
Cannot believe just how many people were on the stand at any one time, all crowded round the COSWORTH and the table with all the concepts on display.
Bood morning Bob, it's now Saturday morning, and after a good night sleep at last, I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed, just rarin to go.
First, let me give you my take on ALL aluminium boats -------they're nothing but trouble, and there never was one built that was any bloody good.
First one I came across was built for Bill Brown of COSWORTH'S--------this had a spare set of sponsons for "rough water" ----------- in the first place it never went fast enough enough to tell the difference between rough and smooth. It leaked like a sieve, -----and was ugly as a squashed tomato that had been chewed, spit out and trod on !--------Bill became known as "Billy Two Rivets"
Second waste of money was Renato's all alloy F1 effort which was a disaster, but he still managed to offload it to Allan Nimmo ( a very tight fisted Scottish dentist ) which marked the end of his career ? There was a lot of acrimony and unpaid bills------lots of fiscal letters, lots of threatened law suits and those kind of pleasantries.
Now we finally get to the cougar------they were innovators without a doubt, ticking along nicely long before the Bally ally effort-------think it was a far eastern project if memory serves me right. I don't think the proto. Was made public. Then there was a couple of multi seated toys either before or after the race boat. I can only remember the one but I may be wrong. By this time, Steve was working at Cougars so he could help . Should be seeing Stevie later in the day I'll ask him.
Last day working the stand ( Wilson Custom Marine ) thought I might bump into Serra, but as usual the little sh-ts hiding from me, he might have to buy me a drink--------short arms and deep pockets that little bugger--------don't worry Bert, I'll nail you in Tavares.
