Tricks that old racers get up to after retirement

Screwed up a gear case and two pipes---------shoulda done ten pipes in the first place.

Did it again-------thought of a whimsical----kinda saucy golf trophy and had to do it there and then.
got this brass putter which needed a shaft----------made a base 12" X 4" bored a 3" hole at the far end.
Turned up a fat dick shaft, fitted the putter head, screwed it to the board ------covered it in green baize , stuck a golf ball in front with the caption "Get in the hole"-------it may never make it across the pond?
Maybe ill patent the idea and make a fortune-------on the other hand, I could get banned for life from scream and fly ------ Ah well, Somedays you eat bear!

Turns out the Leica was set on R.A.W.--------for those of you that don't know, R.A.W. is for the purists who require the clearest pics with the most pixels and is not recognised by S & F -------they only accept JPEG and lower density images.

Got another one for FUJI or Bob-------it's the sloop John Dee-------just needs the prow, front mast and a socking great spinnaker-------been cooking with gas all day.

Gold and silver trophies and a really heavy wing that I made earlier --------think I already sent the motors to Roger-------made that many items this year, I don't remember what I made.
would you believe it's bloody Thursday again already---------three weeks today and it's the golf tourney at Zellwood Station---------I do hope we have a good turnout, Bill and Betty put a lot of effort into making it all a successful day.

Its a beautiful piece of kit--------looks a bit like a " Schiada" an English car dealer imported in the sixties, Cyril ???
Wings have come a long way in the last forty years-------that is a work of scientific art-------whether it works or not is yet to be determined.

Looked at the Boyd bird------ started to pack it in the suitcase -------- had one of my mad fits of depression and realised the base was crap. Took me all afternoon to fabricate a base for the wing that supports THE WING if you know what I mean.
I know when a things passable and when it needs a kick up the arse-----anyway, end result is, -----it's ready for OFF.
Just got this feeling in my whizzer that a fair few numbers will not make it to Tavares.
Damn near sliced my thumb off today--------tore a sanding belt into strips and proceeded to sand off the item in the lathe-------got a tad careless, the belt wrapped itself round the steady, but like the damn fool I am--------I had wrapped each end round my fists to make sure nothing went wrong------this time it did. I actually stopped the lathe, but not before the edge of the belt sliced between the index finger and thumb, maybe late into work tomorrow!?
