Sunday March 10 2024.
Today is the right day to end this close to 7 year long thread. I have reached my goal to be the first thread to pass the 4 million hit mark by close to 900,000 over second place.
It's been 7 years of fun doing this..many highs and lows.
There is for me not much more to do here with my OMC racing history.
A big thank you to everyone logging in here to make it the most popular S&F thread ever.
Have fun and old OMC racing regards..

Thanks Lars! Like Bob Hope always ended his show with "thanks for the memories". Your perspective into OMC history is greatly appreciated by all. You lived it. Enjoy your retirement. 2 strokes RULE

Lars: Sorry to see it go. I have enjoyed logging in every day to see what's new. Glad to have been a small part. Best wishes to you and your wife. John Sheldon.
Wow! Sad day for sure. This has always been one of my go to thread.
Best wishes indeed.
Cheers
Mike G.
Sad to hear this is the end. Was the one thing I enjoy looking at every Day. Its sad that BRP was not Evinrude's savior.
You and Your Wife Enjoy Life Thanks Keith
Shock, such a great place to see the history in photos and comments from those that were there.
We will miss you Lars
He'll come back out of retirement. They always do ;)

Yesterday I got the honor to meet up with Mr. Bill. He was stopping by Osage Beach on the way to Texas with Tim Seebold. Spending some time with one of the greatest ever makes me proud. Thanks Billy..https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/e.../1/16/2764.png
Unfortunately, Bill Seebold acquired ALS (aka, Lou Gehrig disease).
Someone very close to Bill informed me, that Bill is still enjoying boating and playing golf “at a reduced capacity”.
All the best in moving forward Bill Seebold and family.

Uncle Bill, had a few fun discussions with him here in Bay City, I'll never forget the height of champ boat racing and the crazy good times it brought up here.

What a cool rig. Was she successful?
I just love that era boat shape.
I think that is Jimbo McConnell's number.
I remember that boat well they stored it at our Marina when the hour marathons were in Lake Alfred one year, I was just a kid.
Didn't Cathy also run either an SE or a Mod 50?
Good to see you still on. Guess ya'll had enough of Biden / Harris?:) Keep posting pics. Long Live Evinrude!!

we miss your post Lars. You were our staple on this platform like Jackie Wilson. Moving back to Europe is probably a decision you have long thought about but we love to have you over here traveling our beautiful country. Even if we don’t have the best people running for president and I won’t mention names. LTO and Havasu two of the favorites in my past and of course the Miami Marine Stadium. Best always amberjack
Wow...Lasse Strom - So nice to see you again. I rarely log on here anymore because there is rarely a new post and if there is, it is generally just boobs. For some strange reason, I logged on tonight and was thrilled to see your post. It was a shocker to see that you and Carina are back in Sweden, but then again, that is home for you. Any chance of your adding to your thread from time to time. Otherwise this will just become "Dust in the Wind."
Best Regards,
Bob V
Happy for you to be back home with all your family. Things happen fast so enjoy this new chapter!
Welcome back Lars. Glad to see you've come to your senses lol. See all you needed was a little break.
Hi Lars,
I have a few questions for you. Is your camper in the back of that container? I see two axles stationed above your truck and I am assuming those are for the camper? How in the world does someone back your truck into the container and then get out of the truck? Maybe the truck has a sunroof and you could exit through it? You sure can't open the doors and there is not enough room to crawl out through the windows.
On another note, it is nice to see people posting again that have not posted since you left...
One of my sons retired in January from a local Police Department. He, his wife and youngest son now live in Sarteano Italy. They have an Olive grove and a vineyard that they are getting back up and running. The olive oil is very good. Once they get the remodeling of the house finished we hope to go for a visit.
A beautiful picture of Jimbo McConnell in his blue Molinari with Evinrude V6 CCC power.
Not sure about picture credit.
