I have a few, but I don't think there were any GOOD pictures of George. I think George was one of the first to 'seek employment' up on the 'Ledge', George did everything, rigged, tested, drove the truck---just like the old days that you remember. He was soon joined by Ralph, Ritchey, Odell, Mel, Sam Sara and others working in the plant, names that I have forgotten---All great guys. And Lucy in the office---Quote:

I think Bob Donahue had a daughter, maybe named Lana..She was a customer of mine, had a 928, and a dress design business..Didn't have Bob's personality though..

Jim, 'the Intimidator' Hunt? Jim had been winning all the races; I think with a kneel down McCall tunnel w/1250 BP. I had some success at Parker a couple months earlier. Won a race at Miami. At Key West Florida, May, 1968, the wing was only 6 months old.------I led Jim into turn 3, way too fast and WAY over my head. And on my head. Spun, hooked and rolled. Lots of damage.
Bob Switzer went back to the mold and in a few weeks I received a large box of 'replacement parts', even matched the red metalflake :). I was able to glue it all back together in time for the Gold Coast Marathon at Pelican Harbor a couple months later---First outboard, second overall behind Mike Gordon's 'Fish Peddler', still running these same 1250's I had run at Parker----http://i52.tinypic.com/r8utmr.jpg
Gene...Do you have any picture of El Lobo after Jock sold it to the Chrysler guys and they had it set up with the Chrysler stackers? I had some and for the life of me I cannot find them. I think that you ran against them in Clearwater circa 1970 in the Fun 'n Sun Regatta?
Hey Bob---I'll look, think I have some with the Mercurys. Here comes George Thompson again! George had left Mercury in the late 60's. And was working for Chrysler Outboards, and I think had done some work with the Malones. He towed the gold wing with the Chryslers to Clearwater and was working with the driver.-----Price???:confused:Quote:
