What are you expecting to get out of your DW? Maybe do a ceremonial fly by on the Wharf to commemorate the Bassracer run?:D

Congratulations! That's quite an accomplishment. You certainly made a lot us OB guys very proud .
It really seems Impossible at what you accomplished, Lets face It, the SS 300 offshore racers are all below 120 MPH with all the latest greatest hull designs, It's like your breaking the laws of Physics, can you enlighten us with a little of your knowledge ?
To me I would think one would have to be spraying Nitrous oxide in order to get the power ?
I mean no one is even close to what you just did,
I don't expect you to give all your knowledge away, but did you spray NOS,
Safety first, I guess I'm becoming Chicken -Chit the older I get, 71 now, but I wouldn't try those V 10s , with all that extra weight back there, on a small ( in todays world) 28, just be happy you accomplished the Impossible,
Life is Too short, just enjoy, Savor this experience
Ok Joe ran 450's last year and what did he see 130 something ?
As you well know going from 130's to 151 is a large step, very large
All i was doing was asking if he did spray ?
Joe made the comment about spraying his motor, I don't know if that was a joke or serious
Why the negativity
So you say 30 + miles per hour because he has 300 more HP is common HUH?
We all know Joe spends money on props like he's buying candy, and he had the same power but way faster
The Performance boat center is Highly respected I believe they do Joe's work
I was just using the SS class as an example not apples to apples , what is your problem ?
So It's incredible feat.
Great job Warren, I applaud your perseverance and King Kong balls. I checked 39's with 1.60 gears 4% slip at 6800 screams 151 mph. Maybe you can share what props you actually ran?
Its great to see a 30 plus year old cat design put up a grand number.
I was already a proud 28 Skater owner.
Thank you
So how is someone modifying a motor become a cheater, this is not a stock class, anything goes, so how is that cheating ?
I confirmed Joe was spraying , NO RULES
I had no idea that these guys would push things that far,
The lift off speed of large airplanes is 155 to 180 mph,
these guys are on the edge of no return, can you Imagine If Joe and his son had that motor lock up at 150 to 160,
I don't even want to think about It, We may not get along because of opposite views on trump
But I surly don't want anything to happen him and his son, or Warren or anyone else
I've seen plenty die in offshore, that's why the new safety capsule rules have been Implemented along with minimum weights, some classes
When I flipped in 84 I hit the water transom first, I ended up 6 to 8 feet under water, It changes your whole perspective
And that was only 100 mph, Life is Too short already, I've driven cars and motorcycles into the 140's
I would never do it in a boat, let alone a open recreational one
These guys are getting comfortable driving in the 130 range
now with supercharged V 10s coming out...
OMG, the plan is to build bigger and bigger boats to run these on
The V 10 supercharged will probably be 150 lbs more per motor
adding 300 lbs hanging off the back of a 28 :nonod:
I've been told one of these boats has already hit 160mph testing :leaving:
Good job Warren! And man I don't miss the manginas on this board.
https://www.motec.com.au/site/newmcm112kit
Motec is advertising 200hp over stock before nitrous. I'm guessing tuners are making 700 or more per motor. Keep in mind this hull would probably run 115 with 600 horse total. The rate of progress the last 2 years is astounding
Hopefully some development on internals is in progress. The rods in those motors o.O
I know nothing about these new motors, obviously, I thought mother Merc shut down people trying to mess with these new motors ECU ?
So I understand where these jumps in performance come from now, Thank You,
definitely not common knowledge
So who's going to build the new HP rods?:D
I don't believe this group will stop at anything, I definitely will be there to watch next year.
I hope TUFF will bring the smaller V bottoms.
I would like to bring my 24 but I have been told that the rough water might be a bit much to make a real fast run with a small boat.
