There’s more overhead (bypass capacity) in a 4.6L 450R than a 2.6L 400R, that is known for sure.
I don’t like the price of admission any more than you do, but as long as people can afford to buy them, they’ll be stretching what they can out of them. I truly hope you can experience one soon if you haven’t already. You get used to the V8 burble quite quickly. Then you keep bending the lever to repeatedly feel the acceleration. As you can see in the video, 80-120 happens at a fun rate.
