when you look at the global stats and concentrate on deaths it may not look too bad but look at who has it versus who recovered.
That says half the population might end up in hospital and thats not going to happen..

its not the deaths its those that need hospital as most recover but only in a hospital
It's misleading... New York is apparently only testing people who are hospitalized.

In an effort to preserve dwindling medical equipment and testing supplies, the New York City Department of Health has directed city health-care facilities to stop testing for the coronavirus for anyone who is not hospitalized.
So, in theory every positive test (and negative test) equals a hospital bed... but 2/3 of the people they've tested were negative for Covid-19.
People still flying
Most trying to get home and thats the source of new infections.
Spain turning ventilators off for those over 65.
Who to believe? I sure don't know any more.

Gabriel Heras, an intensivist at a hospital in Madrid, warns that a shortage of equipment could force doctors to make difficult decisions. “I read that Italian professionals are saying they are not going to attend to patients over 65, which sounds awful,” he says. “But if you only have one respirator, and you have to choose, we have to prioritize people with the greatest chance of survival. We haven’t reached that point yet, but we could get there and it will be very painful. The system is not going to be able to take in all the cases that are coming in.”
560 new cases overnight and 5 more deaths in PA. 1687 positive and 16 deaths total so far
It's hard to make any assumptions, in PA the number of "positives" is exactly tracking the number of tests they do.
Attachment 461454
Basically 9% - 10% of the people they test are positive... so if state has 13 million people you might have 1.3 million cases already?
But, if you divide the 16 deaths by some reasonable mortality rate like 0.15% then you have about 10,700 cases now?
Dr. Birx on TV now talking about how the infection models were off by a million miles. The models said Italy should have 400,000 dead by now.
https://www.foxnews.com/us/cuomo-clo...ealth-strategy
WTF? Now Cuomo is working on a test for Covid-19 and they have plenty of masks & supplies?
here in Singapore where they jumped into action very quickly we have about 30% recovered and out of hospital that leaves 70% still in hospital although the recovery figures are climbing.
5% in ICU
I guess those that feel sick go to hospital but what percentage of a country has been tested?
Key is testing and isolation and hospitalization were needed. Tonight walking the dog all the neighborhood are out walking, neighbor runs security for a major hospital he a doctor and two nurses were exposed and they are on quarantine test given a week ago and still no results. Without testing we are in for a rough time. Stop the bs and start testing period. I doubt Easter is realistic by then we will be hit hard I hope my sources are wrong. Stay safe.

Dave do a public service, go back to NY and lick door knobs, I'm sure with all you drink you will sanitize them to prevent its spread.
It's a hoax prove it:cheers:
