Seems all go fast boats have a "time to fly" switch. Driver decides how much he wants to push it. Venoms I have been around seemed stable enough. Compared to my King anyway.

Attachment 454819I put a speedy on my venom one weekend for the fun of it it really became a Cadillac then!!
IMO that is the best looking engine merc ever made. And the polished lower just kills it even more...Real beauty... That has 100+ all over it...
Today there is not the market for these small high performance boat like there has been in the past . Mostly because of the cost being driven through the roof to try and run one . For a manufacture in todays market to randomly build and inventory these boats in random colors and interior options would be insanely expensive . But I'm pretty sure if a man really wanted one , he could pick up the phone and make arrangements to place a deposit and order himself a brand new Venom any way he would like it . It would probably be very expensive , but they are a very nice boat ,and a proven performer on the lake and the race course ! Rich Martin 018
Hey guys, sorry to bring up and old thread, but just wanted to inform that the Venoms are being built again by the original designer who built the molds for hydrostream back in the day. The boat has has a few changes here and there and they are all composite built.
GREAT to hear:cheers:

Damn that’s sexy.
It's truly a great design that never made it because who he had building them, poor construction methods.
Andy Driver was very happy with his in lake racer.
So where does one go to buy one?
They have been posting progress on Facebook for a few years now. Earl Henriott and Denny Lail, company called East Tennessee Composites. Boat looks fantastic
