If the ladder is properly set it is not likely to kick out.
Took the COSWORTH apart ready for the final assembly -----wanted to paint the block RED, with the rest of the bits cleaned and the bright work polished-------bloody hundreds of bits and pieces to make this concept. Worked on the exhaust system all day Friday----coming together nicely. What more can a man ask for?
Haven't fathomed out the mount for it yet-------has to be a bit special-----it's taken me two weeks , on and off and I've been more careful than I usually am with a "concept".
Saturday morning and our summers in full swing-----wall to wall sunshine------a forage in the scrapyard-----then a day in the shop------a good friends 50th birthday party tonight with an 80's theme! Got the sleeves on my jacket rolled up already !
Low 80/s this morning, but we have a light breeze keeping the temperature liveable.
Gave the block another coat of red------Hammerite smooth-------looks the biz on the bench------most of it gets covered in add ons anyway-------why would you bother anyway?
Very successful forage this morning at the "FACILITY"
Anyway back to serious things.....a virtual bottle of Bushmills to the 1st one to put a make & model to the 3 chariots depicted
on Jackies valuable china plates.[/QUOTE]
Don't want to labour the point fellers but any takers on this?? and no I don't the answers already....Phill
Gene, I sent you an email-----sank a couple of large single malts in your honour last night-------when I reach your age, I might have a party !
Spent the whole of today making two manifolds and two sets of pipes-----two silencers-----somewhere near the original.
You have never seen as many thrice and twice bent lengths of stainless steel rod------I discarded a dozen or more------single bend is easy------two angles takes thought and planning-----curves and angles, twisting and shaping exhaust pipes takes pure genius---------which I am not.
In the end I settled for just two angles on each of the eight pipes, with a twist to the left on one bank, ------a twist to the right on the other.
Learned a very valuable lesson today--------don't mess with pipes until your old enough to smoke!
So Hamilton won in Austria today--------so what, who gives a toss any more, just a bunch of overpaid self opinionated spoiled brats making Bernie and Murdoch Trillions.
Weather set fair for another week-------pool up to 80 degrees and still nobody got their bum damp, let alone wet. Definitely making it into a water cress pond year-------bloody hours of pains and aches preparing the damn thing-------all for nothing. Well sod that for a game of soldiers, I got better things to do with my life than being a a blasted "Pool Boy".
