Yup, that's me in the mirror Stavros----that there "thing" is "Pontiac"complete with Chicken Pox bubbles----I got a lot of work to do on the damn thing before it's ever fit for human consumption .
Had a word with Mark (he recommended the West System) and he tells me I should have bought the 205 hardener instead of the 206 and I need to buy two measuring pumps ----I could grow old before I get this right( and poor) .
He also said the GIECO boat won last weekend, if anyone's interested
Her who rules the roost is well chuffed with the white table ----had two extra large CC7s and roasted asparagus and artichoke hearts as tapas----told you I was due for brownie points----nice one Wilson!!!
Wasn't a bad day looking at it from sideways on, my middle daughter tells me she loves me and I get a hug and a thank you from Jilly ( there may be a bit of rumpy-dumpy if I play my hand right)---well any things possible on a good day.
For the third time on the trot I did not spend a red cent at the car boot sale, too many antique program's on the TV, everyone's looking to make a fortune out of an old find, if it's not cooking with God it's a a bloody antique program----bring back TONTO and the Fonz.
with luck and a fair wind, should be well on the way to finishing the Owl or the Pussy Cat-----and Pontiac----sleep tight---me done.j.
That's not Jackie, it's a cyclops! See the the giant singular eye on the forehead? I hope Jackie's OK!
Jesus wept----and you thought I talked "Gobbledegook"-----welcome to the real world Guy .& Stavros----fun out here isn't it.
Thought at one time I was getting 100 folk a day looking on the "tricks" site, ' till it was pointed out it was probably 20 looking in 5 times a day-----or more likely 5 looking in 20 times, sei la vie.
Wild windy and a bit wet out there this morning, won't make any difference to me, I'm trying to rectify the POX, always knew I should have been a doctor (or a vet----or a dentist---they make more money than test pilots).
6-30 AM, time I was up and about and producing, talk later,J.

Acetone cures the pox----took a quart and three hours to de-louse the 2 pieces, decided to polish one with beeswax and do a Bruce (try again) on the other.
Can't stay long, got friends in for lunch, then I got hospital appointment for a bunch of x rays later this afternoon, probably do a post tonight, enjoy the rest of the day,j.
Here's a thought for you all.
When you wake up in the morning you will be given a prize of 86,400 seconds to use any way you wish----you cannot keep it to use another day, you have to make the most of it?
Once it's gone it becomes yesterday and can never be brought back, only as a memory.
Same thing will happen tomorrow, unless the supply gets cut off which can happen at any time, so make the most of those 86,400 seconds----use them well----live life to the full----get up early tomorrow and use those precious moments----enjoy every damn one of 'em----live the life----your life. Will post some pics of the efforts of the week tomorrow .J.
So true Jackie. Sometimes we forget the prize is a finite and waste too much of it. This is one thread I read every day. I like seeing your creations and hearing about the boot sales and all. Keep writing and ranting and giving us reminders to use our prize to every extent we can. I don't always comment but I like the read.
Dave
west system has a specified ratio Jack, you can't use your CC7 recipe!
Well when you do comment Dave, makes me feel I'm not totally wasting my time, took a picture of Ford Airfield where they hold a flea market twice a week------there's a Hawker Hunter fifty foot in the air on a pole---will post piccies --later today----along with Pontiac and the Owl or the Pussycat.

The boot sale is on a famous WW 11 airfield----most of it is still there----you could land a jumbo on either runway and 5,000 cars on the rest
Thats a piccie of the Hawker Hunter at 7am this morning I mentioned earlier.Got me a Makita chop saw (metal) for £25 and a nice piece of cheesy modern art for £5. First bits I've bought for 3 weeks----the early bird----misses the traffic----and breakfast----never was partial to worms anyway.
Time for my CC7, will post the pics of the two pieces after the happy hour, have a nice weekend ----just need Lewis to grab pole in Monaco and we have the makings of another great weekend.
So I don't have the really cool updates that you do Jackie but I do like the before and after shots...
My summer vacation project.

Sucks gettin old Jackie. I don't climb scaffolding like I used to.
I turn 55 tomorrow (and start counting backwards, per you) and it I feel it every day.
Only fell off a ladder once.
Actually, coming off the roof, feet of the ladder kicked out, I rode it down, bounced off the scaffolding and landed on the ground.
Good thing I have extra padding and know where the aspirin bottle is..
BTW, one of my best friends just called to tell me he got spit off his motorcycle during his last vintage class moto cross race. He was out cold and in a concousion for a while.
He was bumming out when admitting that he he may be done w/his racing days.
Jackie, he is 70 ;)
Some people have stones and some do not : )
You fkng guys rock and I love all that live this way!!
Man that is the mother of all workshops, you been very quiet of late----no wonder with a project like that going on, glad your going backwards, it's a great way forward----like I said before, use every one of those 86,400 seconds prize you get given every day----sure looks like you been doing just that.
My efforts look puny compared to what you've been up to, sincere congratulations
Thats---"Pontiac"and "The Owl or the Pussycat " after the cock up with the west system----one is polished with beeswax -----the other epoxy resin---can you tell which.
Lewis blew out on the final run for pole----yellow flag ( caused by Rosberg) ruled out the last lap, let's hope he makes up for it on Sunday, I feel there is a big coming together between those two----maybe as early as tomorrow .
Will do a wee post after the event, have a good night,j.
You follow F-1?? I live for it.
They said Lewis was up 2/10 in just one segment prior to Rossbergs get off. After the fact, you could tell Lewis was livid.
First row, both Mercedes, 2nd row, both Red Bull's (Vettle the slower of the two), and Ferrari on row three.
None of the team drivers on any of the three rows like each other and they're on a track w/no room to pass.
4 time world champion Sebastian Vettle has been out qualified by his team mate and newbie Danial Riccardo 4 of 5 races which I love. (love Daniels attitude)
Tomorrow will be interesting ;)
This weekend marks 20 yrs since Ayrton Sennas accident and NBC Sports did a couple of nice biographies leading in.
They didn't say it but I remember seeing that some thought Ayrton was too convinced God was watching/protecting him and allowed him to step beyond what the rest would do.
You could see that some of his competitors were concerned by this. Never considered this.
Of interest to note: the turbo V-6 nay sayers have noted the 3 second difference between this years turbo car lap times and previous year (non turbo) records. That was the beginning of the season.
Niccos qualifying time today was 1.5 seconds behind Schumachers lap record from '04.
I've said from the start that this is F-1, the smartest of the smart. By season end they'll be AT least even w/last yr's times if not oast.
Check this link. They are investigating Nicco's on track actions. Can't see that it was intentional but can't imagine being Lewis at this point either.
The first 30 seconds of tomorrows race may be the best of the yr ;)
