Thats too bad... but who did they sell to? Try and get them to come out. Even if it's to watch or help someone. I'm sure they would enjoy t and might be future racers.
In any case... That would still give you 5 racers who have spoke up... you can make it work with 5. And maybe you have some others on the fence who didn't say anything that can be persuaded to come out now to help get things off the ground?
Even with 5 of you at Waterford entry fee is still reasonable because most of the insurance money is paid.
I was at Waterford on the weekend. Everything is just about in order. They are excited to have us (all new staff/management). They are even looking forward to the band on saturday night. So should be a great time!
hey guys i still havent recieved my cbf licence yet but im sure its on the way.
i need to know if nose cones and low water pick-up will be allowed. the reason i ask is that i just had them both installed on my stinger lower unit. if its going to be an issue let me know so i can try to find another gear case. only two more weeks left. its crunch time. thanks
Not to worry, if it doesn't show then just call and get an email or fax with your card number on it. The office usually gets swamped with memberships the few weeks before the first race, slows things up.
If you needed a medical, your doc sent in his papers though eh?
got a shot of that nosecone LU?
Kevin, The rules do allow a nose cone and low water pick-up. However I would not waste money one one right now. The nitro case works very well for the speeds we run and the engine height. If you do go for a nose cone go for the small cone without the low water pick up similiar to the SST 60 case.
An SST 60 case is perfect. The low water feature adds alot of length to the gear case. Good for the straights, but not good in the corners.
thanks for the good news hounddog. i thought i might have to go find another lower unit. ill send you some pics fred as soon as i get it back from my good friends at Kawartha Prop Repair. i had my medical sent in two weeks ago. im sure it will be here before we race. also whats mikes address so i can send my money.
Im hoping my motor will be ready by the race weekend, the only hold up is the custom driveshaft. A guy came to look at my 40 so if he wants it ... im SOL if that driveshaft doesnt make it in time. Heres hoping

good news guys. my licence came in the mail. less than a week to go. im gettin excited. ive still got alot of work ahead of me but im sure ill
git-er-done before race day.
could someone e-mail the CBF rules and specs for FV. the disc they sent me has nothing to do with FV. just a whole buntch of crapp about ford valves??.
also what pump gas is preferred. im running sunoco 94. is that cool or does it have to much ethanol in it.?? let me know. THANKS!!
get some AIR BOAT gas, 100oct, clean stuff, bump the timin up, the oil can set off the tester it self, so watch what flavor you run
never herd of the stuff before fred. is it the same as av gas?. i should have those pics of the low water pick up/ nose cone soon so ill send them. i can tell you that its a prototype and i dont know if theres any more of them, but ill find out. anyways does anyone know where im to put my cbf sticker. i dont want to put it in the wrong spot and not be able to get pionts. thanks
Since most airboat run airplane motors (because they are air cooled of course), yes, it is AV gas, Probably 100LL as the 80 is pretty weak stuff.Quote:

Kevin. I wouldn't use any fuel that contains ethanol it will likely fail the meter. It doesn't take much of any additive to make a huge difference on the meter. I believe Petro Canada is still safe. But ask where you buy, and even they might not know. If you are un sure, have it tested when you get there. And use the lowest octane fuel you can get away with. Just wasting you money on fuel that actually burns slower. It burns slower to stop pre detination in high compression motors.
I've heard people complain leaving their gas in the sun made it fail the meter. Personally never happened to me. I've never failed a meter. They'll do another test if the first fails, re calibrate, ensure everthing is clean and do the second. Fail that and you are done.
Stinger 75, with the Stinger 75 head, 150lbs across the board, on low grade gas
you got to hit it at like 15-16deg BTDC to keep it from burnin down at high rpm,
with high grade turn the timin up to start the burn early, pulls harder
cold gas is thick gas, think of a dryice can, hear a dryice can = DQ:eek:
