Ah, was it ever so-----wherever there are boats-----there are beautiful ladies------especially "RACEBOATS".
Some of the ugliest guys who ever stepped into a race boat had the most gorgeous "Companions" !
You did get the odd "Clooney" lookalikes, they didn't fare too badly EITHER , when it came to CRUMPET.
Another half day in the shop and another half day at St. Richards Hospital in Chichester-----better send you a progress piccie or three, that way you'll know I'm not just standing around scratching me privates.
Bloody rent day again tomorrow, won't be long before "June is bustin out all over" half a year gone in the blink of an eye-----remember the old poem------we have no time to stop and stare------ain't that the truth!

Progress ?
:iagree:

The term "junior race" referred to outlaw (hydro and "run whatcha brung"} races in an around Long Island, NY...not to an organized junior league. I joined the APBA when I was 15 or 16 specifically to race the Powercats in marathons after stepping up in size and power.
Damned good job I don't make my living out of doing "Concepts"------just on with the last of half a dozen straight sixes, complete with pipes, gear cases, props and tie bars.
The older I get the fussier I get-----a good gear case, cut from solid, takes the best part of the day.
so a complete ready to fit motor probably takes three days--------motors for a twin engine boat takes best part of a week ! Bloody good job I'm not on "Piece Work"----I'd be in the poorhouse within a year.
Had the delusion I might do the MERCURY TRUCK and fill it with motors, power heads and gear cases, props and all sorts of spares------then common sense prevailed-------forget it buster------who would be daft enough to want it anyway ?
Due to leave for France on Sunday morning to meet up with our Dutch friends Tiny and Leo------stupid bloody French dockworkers have gone on strike-------what do they want ? A 30 hour week, retirement at 45 and a pension equivalent to your last months pay while you were employed ! So much for ""EQUALITY, FRATERNITY, AND LIBERTY""-------bottom line is FRENCHMEN DO NOT WANT OR LIKE TO WORK.
Now I'm just stubborn enough to think Screw you------I'm meeting up with Tiny and Leo, so get lost you idle gits----you are not going to spoil my weekend.

Just making sure !
totally amazing and awesome- luv them
Been cooking with gas all morning------both the REDBIRDS are in a fit state to travel--------gear cases are finished, but I still have to put the props on.
"Coupe De Grace" will be getting the name slapped on, in yellow or gold paint.
Two totally different mounts-------but both very effective.
Shop now shut for three days------crack-o-sparrow tomorrow we're catching the cross channel ferry to Dieppe------that's providing the dopey French dockers haven't set fire to the port.
France has run out of gasoline but we have enough for 350 miles------we should have more than enough unless we have to run up to Ostend to escape the contrary bugger's.
Gene and Ted-----your boats are almost there------just the tiddly bits to do, then we're away with the mixer.
Trusty Lexus ensconced in the "Grand Pavoir" parking lot- at Fecamp,------filled up with gas at the local super market. No sign of a strike-------the whole of France stops for Sunday lunch anyway-----that is sacrescant!
Amazing place----a would like to be an Honfleur but with a bigger harbour and more eating houses !
Super modern up to date hotel--------you don't get many of those in France I can tell you!
Another place to put on your bucket list Gene------remember the name----FECAMP.
"Ron ----you any relation to JEFF TITUS ?[/QUOTE]"

Now there's a table of legends------better get the Kodak ready for November Stavros-----one of only a few times anyone will ever be able to see most of the "Greats" still left standing!
