What's Y'alls Winter Project

Yep, new powerhead is toasted on 2. The fuel pump failed and had to guess on the jets due to time and didn't have time to dial it in. Must have been close as only 1 got hurt with some transfer trash. $200 and we will be back together. We will repair it and get it going as we still need data off this one to compare the one I am going to call the "BEAST". We have names for all the engines. lol Our main engine is called "ugly ducklin" as it came out of a guys scrap pile and was transformed and has been like Steven Kings Christine! I hope to have a 2.4 for the new boat that will change how people think about 2.4 as a extensive amount of work has gone into. I do a lot with the 2.5's and have learned a lot on making them run and bringing that technology into the 2.4 as mercury designed a very slacking engine in my eyes that is easily corrected. Believe it or not but I actually see advantages on the 2.4 over the 2.5. Trial and error will let us know. I like marching to a beat of my own drum.

I can name that tune in ... 3 powerheads. ;-) used to toast 2.5 mercs until I learned how to build and run them, then I got smart and went to 3 liters.

I totally agree about the 2.4. Like every other motor, it depends what you put it on. But you already know the drill, 98.6% of everyone says there is NO way a 2.4 can beat a 2.5. I say it can and mine does.

Well we only got a couple inches last night BUT : Now its really coming down all today and half of tomorrow for a total of 8-12 " yee haw we the lucky ones no summer for us this year I guess.

Serious f*** me this is just too much chit to deal with.14" yesterday and 2-4 today.I snowblowed twice yesterday and still have 8" on the driveway { blowing and drifting } And its not going to get warm anytime soon so its sticking around for say into may LIKE GET REAL. Worst april storm on record so one for the books I guess. Well need to go get more gas and frie that sumbitch blower back up .
