I'm too busy preparing for the Zombie apocolypse....I don't have time to enjoy life.
Pete looks like your prop shaft is a little wobbly, either that or your prop is having a seizure.... might want to get that checked out
ehhhh maybe its just doing the harlem shake lol
Top secret variable pitch prop.. Ssshhhhhh.
After much consideration, (read: a certain other 'orange' boat owner giving me a hard time for years), come hell or high water, I'll be making the trip up there this year to finally meet some of you guys.....and since the same aforementioned 'orange' boat owner will be in attendance, and based on historical data, I better get a full zip-in bimini made for the boat! :p
Lol orange boats are going to run the show ;)
I'm sure the attendees will be on thier best behavior:rolleyes:
Well, looks to be 918-ish miles for me, and considering my luck with hubs, the trailer will be worn down to nubs of the bunks by the time I get to the ramp. :o
Me too my friend.....you might regret that in the end as swapping a powerhead thats sawed in half, (in the rain), while enjoying a beverage, is always easier with an extra set of hands from a new found friend! :D
Sonik looking fwd to meeting you glad you can make it,its totally worth it.
He says he is coming, but heres my list of no shows
1 Mikey large
2 Ronnie
3 Brabender
4 phast boat
5 Herb
Orange boats are cool but yellow/orange/red/black and white rule
And any tuff boats
I want their rooms if they have one:D
Ok...so I need the lowdown here. From what I'm looking at, the lake is a tad larger than what I am used to running around in so considering I usually only carry 12-ish gallons of fuel (2 x 6 gal removable tanks)+ an occasional 6 gal backup can, I figure my legs are pretty short nowadays due to the switch from 2.0 to 2.5. How available/desirable is fuel on the lake and/or how often does the group pass by the ramp/hotel/rally point where I can stash some extra fuel??
I've got room for extra fuel on board, but my canoe just wont float any more than 2 passengers, 400lbs of motor and ~12-18 gal of fuel without playing titanic.
Cmon dont we have any evinrude owners around here? Id love to see the yamahas getting spanked by an old school hopped up crossflow or looper
Freakin rookies, already a problem:rolleyes:
The lake is 29 miles long, the campground where we launch is roughly in the center. I run a 22 gal tank, and can run most of the day on it (we spend more time sittin around than running). There's gas at the south end of the lake, and the "right side fork". I've got extra Merc remote tanks I could bring, and you could keep them at the ramp for a quick switch.
Evinrude makes a good motor, they are just ugly as all hell and their gear cases suck lol police boats around here have sets of etecs with close to 2000 hours on them and they splitting them up and putting the motors on smaller whalers. Still run like a top. Cant say id want one but i have to give credit where credit is due
Yeah were a Evinrude dealer and sell alot of etecs to the marine police and Dep and they are tough on them.
The reason I am number 1 on StupidBenders list is because he knows his little 4 stroke isnt going to be fast enuff to run with my real motor :reddevil:
