Not a big deal, was just a statement of fact ..... Mercury did win 7 of the 9 OWC's at Havasu. Since you had mentioned one of the race winners, thought I'd try to post pictures of all of them ..... the pictures are in the right place.Quote:

I don't know the complete story about Barry, but he showed up at Galveston with I believe was his mod U and ran in the second race. Next thing I know is he ran the rotary at Provo. While he didn't finish, he lead while he ran. After that he ran rotaries anywhere they ran and lead most of the time. He was truly a gifted race boat driver.
I think Jack Leek got to know Barry more when jack tried to buy new Scotti boats for the factory teams and found out Barry had bought all Scottis first years production and Scotti boats was a very small outfit I was told he used to borrow some of Molinaris boat builders if he could.Well they were cousins after all.Quote:
