Going back to 188 Street-I knew it as Thunderboat Row, though that always bothered me because t me a Thunderboat was an unlimited hydro. When I was first working, late 70s early 80s or so, if I was in the area I would drive by and just drool at the boats. About 10 years ago I was invited to some kind of show at the Aventura Performing Arts Center. Thunderboat Row was weird to get to--the road did not come out to US1, you had to go in North or South, then cross over to it. As I drove to that show the place sure felt familiar. I about lost it when I finally realized that I was driving down what was left of Thunderboat Row--all condos.
