If Evinrude ever gets back in to racing they should build up there own classes with Evinrude only.
Like SST 100 but with a clean new Evinrude E-TEC powerplant.
thats the 2.5 200xs 240 hp but doesnt the 2.0 sst120 205hp still race?
Could have a 240hp v4 on pump gas with some grinding
but yes in Europe they would only change if an e-tec came out to compete
They are weird in the EU normally the day the engine is not sold new the class closes
Well..the UIM F2 is the 200XS only. You can not use the SST 120 engine anymore in the class.

Its better Evinrude goes their own way (class) in tunnelboat racing if Evinrude one day is back racing.
Wait some time and you are going to love the new mid range E-TEC.
exactly, so plenty of classes in USA and Australia that are not UIM classes but mainstream APBA classes
I hear the Jet ski world has almost moved completely away from the UIM.
Offshore in the UK has binned the RYA so also on its own.
Did we just work out the problem with racing is Mercury, they fixed it long ago so everyone gave up and racing is smaller today then ever.
sst45, sst60 still runs, last new engine made over 30 years ago, Seaway make all the race parts you need which also means all the parts for sst100 if that class ran and a v6 on that mid as well with v8 lower.
Check Merc prices versus Seaway
The fastest, strongest and most powerful racing outboard ever.:)
