I need to get stupid tonight, as sitting here with a beautiful blond, who wants to go out on a Saturday night...(4 legged and furry, talks funny, crashed in front the wood stove...no 2 hours in the mirror, putting on "warpaint"..to "look good"!..just wiggle the leash!)..but I'm on a roll!

Well I just finished the meatballs, pork, sausage and sauce, yeah...:D...now I will start on the ham for tomorrow.
Since Phil died, I have an annual dinner for our racing crew P/S 101. We have a holiday memorial dinner for Phil and Jimmy, I have a little Christmas tree lit with led lights in memory of them, I can't wait to see our friends. We sit, watch old racing movies, talk and laugh our as ses off....

OMG YES!!!! we were so happy when they opened!!!! they get their bread from Arthur Ave in the Bronx, then freeze it, they make a trip about once a month. Phil used to spend a fortune in their, he would come back with $30.00 just in cookies, forget the olive oil and vinegar and everything else, I miss their Gelato...boo hoo... Marzelis!!! yes, they also own the Gray House Restaurant (what the heck was that name, damn what is wrong with me) in New London, and had the hops growing outside. I used to buy my coffee their and bring it home, they would roast their own beans.....Quote:

Aint had a good "Italian Beef/Sausage/Meatball sandwich " in there life! Some the best Italian food comes from what mama passed down, first East, then the move heading west, years ago, seems in stopped the midwest?.
I STILL order, monthly a $100 "overnight..UPS", cooked, frozen, packed in ice, 8 beef sandwiches, sauce, buns, and 2 deep dish pies, from either "Portillos..beef.(famous Chitown all), or do a combo, with the legend pie maker, Lou Malnanti's, 2 deep dish!
I really envy ya back there, as SUPER people, and the great food, bought OR cooked, by someone who took the time.
Sue, what ya said here is precious to me here, the "I'm cooking good food..(I can smell it 3000 miles away!)..and many will be over tomorrow, laugh, watch race vids, Phil, with good friends".
Damn..I don't know ANY of ya...and zero plans to ever go back East..but some day, when our time is up..
