Never made the shed yesterday Pilgrim——— and today doesn’t look any better——- just have far too much on my plate keeping things on an even keel to even contemplate going into the shed!

Showered, white peaches and yoghurt——— followed by fried tomatoes on toasted malt granary—— do all the dishes——— took the dog for a long walk in the woods—— collected the Malted granary from the bakery——— put out the three trash bins !
Its almost nine a.m, and I’m flagging already———- talked with her ( her who shall be obeyed but has to be nice to me as I’m on the outside ) got the full list of female requirements which is a carrier bag full————— be here at ten prompt! Don’t be late!!!
Told you it was going to be a long day !
Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to all my friends on S&F who have sent messages to Jilly!
Turned out she needed a full hip replacement——— was with her from ten this morning until they trundled her down to the theatre. Told me to phone the ward around 17:00 hours when there should be some good news.
looking forward to some good news.
Operation hip replacement was a complete success———- she’s out of IC and on the mend, giving the orders——— ruling from the bed——— won’t be long before it’s subject normal.
Never made the shed again today——- and tomorrow doesn’t look good either, in fact I’ve given up for the rest of the week.
Ill just go with the flow.
22:00 hrs and I just finished watering the sweet peas——— picked another 50 this morning for the next door neighbors———- will be picking another fifty tomorrow for the house.
Life’s never dull In this neck of the woods.
Many thanks Rich———- visited the hospital yesterday three times——— came home to a cat and a dog and an untidy house.
Could not be arsed with the TV, took out the iPad intending to waffle a bit, just fell hard and fast asleep in the chair———- woke at 12:30am and stumbled into bed. That’s why there was no post last night.
Looks like you got Tavares nailed and the vintage boat section off to a flier, you should get a thread started with some updates———— that and the old farts should make for some exciting biting.
See Doreen is keeping the flag flying, winning everything in sight, and it looks like you settled down well in Carolina.
6:00 am and I have a dog and cat to see to——- then a dog to walk, ——-garden to water ( been no rain for over a month now). Don’t reckon much to this being on your own lark——— thought I could do what I like, eat what I like, drink what I like, anytime that I liked———- didn’t reckon on not having ANY time to do these things ?
Now I come to think of it———— I liked things, just the way they were!
9:30 am and I finally got all the chores done——— dog had to settle for a much reduced walk——- I have the house assessors from the hospital, coming to see if the house is fit for human habitation———- sometime between 9 and 11 am. Buggered if know where I can put the old girl if the assessors say no————- I could put her bed in the shop I suppose——but that would go down like a turd in a punch bowl

Needed some white leather for the interior upholstery on this one——- picked up a good quality ladies handbag for two quid at the car boot sale. See how it turns out!
Have to tell you Pilgrim, we live in a BUNGALOW———- no upstairs or basement———- just the garage and a shed———— not exactly “Spoilt for Choice” ——— if you see what I mean?
If there’s a need for casualties——- I just want to make sure it’s not me who’s mentioned in dispatches!
Not a lot to report——— been over 90 degrees today——- haven’t seen Murphy all day, she’s probably up in the woods keeping cool.
Indy has been sleeping most of the day——- in the passage, it’s the coolest place in the house.
I took a couple of hours out and started to upholster the latest concept—— Decided to send the base away for engraving——— no matter how hard I try——- I’m crap at engraving!
Thats it for today——- it’s another 4:30am start tomorrow if I’m going to the car boot sale——- life don’t even slow down, let alone stop, when things happen. Dog still needs walking, plants need watering——- I need feeding——- washing up don’t do itself!
Was a 4:30am start this morning——- finished most of my chores by 6:30, Took Indy for a super long hike in the Swindon woods.
Got to the car boot sale early—— but it didn’t really matter, there was sweet sod all worth looking at let alone buying.
Made it into the hospital by 10am——- parked with the cripples——- for free. But if your fit and well it’s a fiver for two hours———- so I hobbled a bit, just in case there were CTC I hadn’t spotted.
Heat wave continues——- over 90 again yesterday———- Same again forecast for the next few days.
To some of the colonials That probably doesn’t seem too bad———— but compare the colour of an Englishman to any American, you can see we don’t usally get the amounts of sunshine they do across the pond.
i have been in shorts for two months now——— that has never been recorded since 1976 !
England in the semifinals of the world soccer cup, first time since 1990, things are looking up!
Jilly took her first steps with the help of a Zimmer frame yesterday——— she’s coming home Monday if all goes well.
I’ve kept the house and gardens pretty well up to scratch——— so I’m not anticipating too much stick. There’s a pile of washing building up, but I’m not allowed to MESS with the new all singing and dancing digital contraption that replaced the twenty year old foolproof MAYTAG.
I’d forgotten what a Sunday morning lie in was like———- 6:00 am and I’m still here playing on the dot-dot, not for long though. Got the dog to walk and the garden to water——- doggie do-do to clear off’n the lawn——-sandwiches (smoked salmon) ——— Wild of course on malted granary to construct for madams lunch———— she’s non too keen on hospital food.
its already over 70 and it’s only just gone 6:00am.
Better get cracking, I know I’m going to cop a bollocking, gut it’s best if it’s only a little one——- big bollockings from her who shall be obeyed are not nice at all.
Stayed at the hospital until 13:00 hours———— three hours, Got out a wheel chair and took her highness out to the cafe for a panini and a cup of tea. I passed on the panini——— not my idea of food at all. Made a pleasant change for her.
All the drips and wires have gone——- still can’t walk, but she Can turnover in bed !
Took the afternoon off and went to the beach for four hours———- water temperature was 23c, like a warm bath, never known that in England before.
Pearly start tomorrow——- dog walk, water garden, clean house just enough so I get only the small bollocking.

Managed to keep her sweet peas alive———— that’s why I give them a solid watering, morning and evening . Expecting brownie points for all that effort.
D day at the Wilsons———- sun up was just gone five, but I’d already fed the animals by then.
On schedule at the minute, just in case her holiness is let loose this morning.
Turns out I caught a bit of the sun yesterday——— a couple of hours on a floatation unit will do that——— gone a pinker shade of pale, not exactly Pakistani or Caribbean———- more candy floss like?
Hose pipe is on the sweet peas———— need to pick a couple of hundred at least——— fill three or four vases, make the house smell of sweetness and light instead of sweaty bodies , dogs and cats.
Worked out how to turn up a new piece for the sunbrella to keep the six canvas supports in place———- so simple I may have to take out a patent on it and make my fortune ?
Once she’s back indoors and I’m a free man again, things will soon be back on an even keel and I have time to create, manipulate, think clearly and breathe easy—— the better!
Something buried under them, to make them grow like that? lol
I think we need a snap of Mrs Wilson sat up in bed scanning a copy of todays paper....seems a few of the boys are starting to wonder what is under those blooms ......
Wasn’t a little bollocking———— or even a big one——— it’s known in the hallowed halls as ——- A RIGHT ROYAL BOLLOCKING——for what, I can’t even recall. Thought I’d got everything up tight and shipshape——- But, there’s always something!
Shes back——— limping a little ——- jockeying a zimmer, but still orchestrating proceedings like a mafia boss !
The dog looks thinner ! Cat still hasn’t come back from it’s two day camping trip in the woods! Of course I fed and watered her all last week!
Fridge was full of out of date milk——— some of the cheese had turned blue———- told her there are lots of blue cheese——— apparently there’s no such thing as blue cheddar. We don’t usually have a fridge full of mouldy bread, wilted grapes and lettuce.
Bottom line is——— I’m not a fridge person——- I never go in there, it’s not my fault everything got a sell by date—————— hells teeth, I’m well past my sell by date, but I’m still good to go!
But, there’s no reasoning with a tornado, best to simply hide until it’s blown over. By ten o’clock I was behind closed doors——— workshop doors.
Made up a disc sander some time back, from an old motor I had skulling around—— worked ok but was a right noisy cow, from the start. Took it apart and found both bearings were shot, they were wobbling around like a drunk on an ice rink.
Off to Goodwood on Friday——— Festival of Speed——- arranged for a baby sitter, gates open at seven, I’ll be waiting for them!

Craigs Geico watch———- given for long service———- said he had to fight really hard to get one——— about a hundred made I believe.
113 in total apparently J.W.....There is a couple on E-Bay at the moment, I was tempted but at 45mm dia far too big for my limp effeminate wrist.
Friday at the F.O.S is "couger " day....when the pretty young moist blondes on the trade stands try to hook themselves a sugar daddy for the weekend:reddevil:.......Don't be tempted.. think of Jilly back at home in the flowe.. err.. I mean back in bed.
Congratulations to Craig!
But why should he have to fight to get one?
BACK IN THE DAY---The watch of choice was from a different Swiss watchmaker--
--and some of us accumulated quite a few--
http://i67.tinypic.com/2zgz3i0.jpg
Was through with all my chores by 10:00 am——- animals fed and watered——- dog walked, collected the bread and milk, watered the garden, Showered her majesty. Now the day is mine——-
Still had to finish the twin engined forty footer——- I was daft enough to think I could get away with white leather upholstery——- damn fool ! Glue—— white leather and dirty hands do not make good bedfellows———- today the bear ate me!
Made steady progress, but it was heavy going, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel——- put a new radar unit on the arch and a gold radiio aerial——- pity about the sticky finger Marks on the white leather——- I’ll know better next time!
COYS the antique motor car auctioneers are having a three day show on fontwell race course to coincide with the Goodwood Festival——— massive marquee full to busting with exotic machinery. Thought I might take a look see tomorrow afternoon———- just might have a couple of Concepts for them to exhibit.
Craig had to fight hard to get anything out of Geico——- he was too good for his own good, good at everything—— boats, rigging , carbon , repairing, driving——- and young!
Had to leave and form his own company with Mark before he finally got recognition. Look him up on the dot-dot Gene—— Wilson Custom Composites . He’s too busy to race these days !
Gene, I have to tell you——- When Mark left Rolla ( Record Propellors ) after they were taken over by
Twin Disc ( Arneson) PHILL ROLLA presented Mark with that very Rolex Timepiece.
He still wears it to this day, but only on special occasions!
Your going to be an “OLD TIMER” any time soon aren’t you? 87, where did they go——- all the good times, all the flowers and the wine ?
Me too Gene, I’ve taken to the single malt on a much more regular basis since” Rotory John” sent me the ” Dalmore “.
In spite of everything—- it’s great to have Jilly back again, she’s been around for over thirty years now and I’ve kinda gotten used to her. Plus we also have some beautiful flowers.Attachment 412376Attachment 412377
From the World's finest watch maker and master craftsman....The Fossil Blue...

Phill - this one has got some age on it, too. Twenty years to be exact and like a Timex, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking....
Bob...If I could find a girl with eyes that colour I'd marry her..It's all about things that bring you pleasure.
Now you and I know...along with every other cowpoke that have been riding the range for years that every critter has a front and a back..Never accept that what you see at the back corresponds with what goes on at the front.........
In udder words...."Two sides to every storey Grasshopper"...
If it was a bloody octagon Phil ———— inside out or back to front——- you still blew it !

Just put the the finishing touches to the “BARNFIND” Trophy———- changed the Shelby Cobra for a Ferrari——- now they look the part as genuine BARNFINDS ,
Attachment 412414
Nearly finished the Goodwood Festival Of Speed Trophy———- been over a year in the making, for one reason or another!
Up until my retirement 15 years ago I always wore an analog dial watch. I found it impossible to count a pulse with a digital watch. When I retired I put the last one in the drawer and now I can't even find it.
Ya know I have a developed a fascination for good old fashioned mechanical cog type watches.......strange really as since I've retired I have no regard for time at all.
