Congrats to Nick and the Shadow Pirate team for taking another 1st Place win at St Clair yesterday!!
Awesome and I guess there was a major crew shuffling with the entire fleet. Glad to hear Mr. Beckley is doing better.
Shadow Pirate boys scored the first win in Key West this morning.

Brackets...we don't need no stinkin' brackets. :D
Porta Performance Engineering’s hard work paid off. The Porta brackets are a part of the performance equation but the bottom design is where the magic happens !!! Scott’s really gonna break their hearts with the Gen 2 boat !!!
An issue developed, by the other competitors, about the use of the "adjust on the fly" Porta Brackets being an unfair advantage for the Pirates. So the Pirates showed them(sans brackets), they could still get the job done.
So you mean when the boat showed up with Porta brackets that anyone could buy.:)
They all laughed and said .. Who would want those .. ?? They add too much weight !
Now most racing organizations wait until after the season is over to go over the rules package for the next season. ( As you say, an issue developed )
Short version : WwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaWhaaaaaaaaaaWwaaaaaaaa
Long version :
It seems that enough of em got a good look at the Pirate run up to the corner bouy, drop the nose, drop the inside motor ;) roll the corner, lift the nose/ inside motor as he saw fit .. and drive out of their lives ...
It's not like the rest of them couldn't do it. They turn the steering wheel, they move the throttles, the play with the trim angle independent of each other. They want to act like Hydraulic jack plates are something new.
Naaww, the water's a little deeper than that. Some of them boys would rather eat 16 penny nails than say they learned that really was one more "gotta have it if ya wanna win" item derived from the mind of Scott Porta.
When Nick learned he needed to not just service, but "rerig" a race ready boat.
I think it might have lit a little candle under his azz ... ;)
So, Mid-Life.. thanks for playin :D
BTW .. whut-d ya say .. "Nicky Two Crowns" cracked em today ?
Not bad considering he's in a brand new combination ..
Here is the black and white version Chaz...

Just take the fuse out .. that's funny.
I can throw the pumps, plates, cylinders, lines, wiring, buttons and the fuses in a duffle bag and run that stuff down the for the big race. Gary don't have run with that stuff in his lap or nuttin, back in the bilge will be fine. :)
New class rules next year no Scott Porta design changes allowed on any Hull. Hell why not ban Doug Wright boats unfair advantage they are to fast . As for brackets how many STR brackets do you see on stock boats , I see Porta Brackets on fishing boats not fair to the fish they can get in that skinny water.By the way Scott I want that free bracket you offered Gary .
