I've said it before, but the sad facts of this are, some people will die from this flu. That is inevitable, and it is very sad, no-one should have to die from this or anything else for that matter. Yes, the media has made the situation into a panic and I do believe that a coordinated effort to tank the stock market through irrational sell-offs has been made in what I hope turns out to be a vain attempt to take out Trump. Hopefully everyone has egg on their face with that in a couple of months. But, last number I saw, about 20% of the people who catch this develop serious complications. If you put it side-by-side with the flu, the kill rate appears to be anywhere from 10 to 34 times higher, maybe even 100 times higher based on the somewhat limited information we have. The true kill rate is actually deaths versus recoveries. It will take awhile for that to shake out. That is why it is important to keep the spread down. Of course the flu has killed many more people. Many, many more times the number of people have caught it. This is brand new and is not over yet!
All I know is this: My father is the only family I have. He is 74, diabetic, had a triple bypass three years ago, and had pneumonia once before. He is healthy overall but is vulnerable. Losing him to a pandemic is one thing. Losing him to a pandemic caused by the f*cking Chinese communists eating f*cking bats and then trying to hide the problem by arresting/killing doctors and suppressing information until it was too late to contain it...that is not an end result that I am willing to accept. And we still don't know everything yet. 50% of the critical cases in France are under 50 years old. Could be because they smoke like crazy over there.
I'm hopeful that the next couple of weeks of testing will give us a better idea of the true footprint.
And I hope Trump economically and industrially DESTROYS China when this is over, and tells them to take the 30% of our national debt that they hold and shove it.
We need to send China the bill once all this pans out, maybe it will wipe our debt with them clean.
