That aluminum prop will not provide much lift or carry your hull. Don't give up on your OMC. Look for a shooter prop, they can be found fairly cheap

Actually, i raised it up and broke it free and vented up to 5800
without an increase in boat speed.
I found a 12.75 x 23 SS prop for $50. I'll give that one a try at the same height and see if it holds better.

I have bought two rakers, 20 and 22” pitch for our ski boat. Both were under $200. One was here and the other was EBay. For my money Rakers are hugely under appreciated.
You could also look for a Renegade. A 21 Renegade came with my 16’ Baja.
I also really liked a 17” 4 blade Stiletto prop. It was clearly more than 17” pitch and it lifted well. That prop was not run on the Baja, different boat.
How about a Stiletto 3 blade 13.25 x 21"? I see one of those on CL for under $200.Quote:

Not many people can give you the magical prop. You have to buy and test like the rest of us. I'm not an OMC guy, but like we've been recommending a bow lifting 19-21 is a good start. Remember you have a Tahiti ski hull. Most of us have ski props and faster propsQuote:
