Headed out there this morning. Should be a nice day
Hope its better than sat. was nothing like it used to be, slowest racing ive seen. the small 0\b were the fastest. the big hydros crept around, some one at a time. one class had only one boat, another 2 boats. spectators seemed not too excited with the event. the big aircraft hydro went around at half throttle, i picked up, hit the irish pub! i dont know but some problem with the program of sorts, i was disappointed..
A few pics I took. It was a good time, a bit windy and you could tell some were fighting to keep the boats straight.

Was a fantastic regatta.!!!
Lots of rollers form boat wakes and that is why the 2.5liter hydros came back in early and didnt run to hard. Next go on sunday they ran the **** of them.
A few tunnels were running over 100mph. As far as the Unlimited Hydro goes he cannot get that big boat up to speed and then into a turn on a very little
1 mile course. This is not and never has been a race. Ive been attending forever. Everyone with a boat in the pits was having a great time.
I crewed the entire weekend for a few boats and nothing but good times.!! Everyone doing the best they can to keep the Vintage boats alive.
Dago.
my friend Jeff has the Miller Beer Tunnel said he had a great time . the wind was a factor and the traffic throwing big rollers onto the coarse caused alot of caution . you gotta walk a mile in another mans shoes ,,, you know to know the issues
